A pedestrian approach to life will earn one only a verbal "happy new year" and not more.

what altars are you erecting?
What are you doing differently in all these regards to ensure that these salutations are not just mere rhetorics but now our reality.
What are you doing to ensure that it is a merry Christmas indeed and a happy new year for sure?
