You have no right to hate your body. It's not yours to hate in the first place.
Yes, I said what I said. Your body is not yours. Whatever God has given you, is not about you, it's about him. The only way God can operate on earth is through humans. So he saw something that needed to be done, he knew you'll be perfect for that purpose and so he sent you down to earth with a body. Your body is not primarily for you, it's for God's purpose.
I ask you, why do you hate on your body?
You don't? Why all the junk you're giving to it then?
You need that body to do everything that God had committed to your hands. When you feed your body all that chaff and unhealthy meals out there, you're gradually killing it.
Some of y'all will be struggling with hypertension, DM, cancer, obesity and a host of other things by the time you're 40 years just because of what you eat. Most of the time, when people come to the hospital with these Non-communicable diseases, the first thing we tell them is to change their lifestyle.
Don't take it for granted that you feel and look healthy right now. You have no idea what is going on with your blood vessels. Eat right and exercise.
EXERCISE people! Some of you can't work a hundred meters without struggling to breathe. That's not healthy at all. Your body needs an average of 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise a week. The benefits are a lot, I can't list them out now.
Don't wait till you can afford a gym. YouTube is a whole gym. Dance, skip, take a brisk walk. You can decide that you'll take 10,000 steps every day; install a step counter on your phone. Do what you love and enjoy, just make sure you're getting some exercise.
Exercise for the right reasons. You exercise because you're been a good steward of your body. Not because you want to increase a body part. Don't go punishing yourself with 10,000 squats just so you increase your buttocks. That's not it at all.
Most slim people think they are healthy because they don't have an ounce of fat on them, so they eat anyhow and don't exercise. That's a lie. They just have a fast metabolism that burns up fat, which doesn't mean they are healthy.
I think you owe it to God to live the best life possible. He gave you health, you're a healthy person. Think like a healthy person! That means good food, enough sleep and rest, exercise. Don't wait till you're battling with diseases before you start thinking God has given you health. Then you expect him to perform magic.
Your body is the first thing God has given you. If you think you have nothing else, you have one thing, your body. Be a good steward and be faithful in taking care of it. When you're faithful, God can see that you're responsible and can hand over greater things to you. When you don't take care of your body, it means you're planning to go home early. Why then should he give you things to do?
Instead of buying a bottle of coke and egg roll for lunch today, get moi moi and cold water. Don't eat more that one wrap of fufu today. Sometimes, replace ice cream with a smoothie. Cook just one small pack of noodles today with a lot of vegetables.
Do you want to be here for all God has for you? Do you want to be here for your family, spouse, children, grandchildren? Do you want to travel around the world, make legacies? Do you want to have influence? Do want to bring all your dreams to reality? If your answer is yes, then take care of your body. Burn that fat. Eat well. Get some exercise. Sleep well. Remove or manage stress.
Have a great day y'all
