Speaking of culinary issues, it never runs out, because food is a necessity that must exist for survival. Culinary words are not unfamiliar words to our ears, even when the word culinary is heard, of course what will be imagined is food with a variety of servings. It's just that his words are general, not yet referring to the intended food.
Indonesia, can be said is a culinary paradise, because in every region, from Sabang to Merauke has its own special food. Of the various types of food, of course, all good to taste. There are even foods that can make your tongue addicted to always be able to taste it.
Well, the following is one of the foods that are already popular in Indonesia, in fact almost all of us have tasted it, namely: Gado-gado with all its uniqueness and characteristics that make you interested to taste it.
Gado-gado is a decoction of vegetables spiked with peanut sauce and all other forms of flavor that make your tongue unable to lie about its delicious taste. Vegetables commonly used for gado-gado ingredients are kale, bean sprouts, spinach, young jackfruit, cabbage, bitter melon, long beans and various other vegetables. Not only that, on top of the boiled vegetables, also spiked with various other accessories, such as fried or boiled tofu, fried tempeh, thinly sliced cucumbers and various other types of accessories. After everything is ready, a boiled egg is then laid and sprinkled with fried onions, fried peanuts and crackers to be eaten immediately.
Gado-gado is almost in all regions in Indonesia. Even about where its origin originated, also differing opinions, because without the demands of this clear fact, gado-gado is not a special food belonging to an area, although there are some people who insist that it is a typical food belonging to the Betawi people. But, this claim is not fundamental, so not everyone believes it.
When viewed from the language, the word "gado-gado" is not a language belonging to an area, and in the Indonesian language dictionary no word "gado-gado" is found. Even the word "gado-gado" is also a term for various things that are mixed or mixed with various elements. Because of this, the claims of an area for gado-gado ownership as its special food cannot be accepted by the public.
Apart from the polemic above, the people of Aceh especially I know, Gado-Gado is a favorite food during the month of Ramadan, to be a meal for breaking the fast. In fact, in every crowded place or in village stalls, there are always vendors selling gado-gado for visitors who are looking for food menus to break their fast. Indeed hodgepodge is a typical food with a popular taste and appetizing.
The culinary treasures which are part of the culture of the people of Indonesia, become a reason for foreign tourists to visit Indonesia, because apart from the hodgepodge that tastes worldwide, many other special foods in Indonesia are owned by each region with special characteristics and power each one pulls.
Only so many reviews from me about one of the typical foods in Indonesia, hopefully we as citizens of Indonesia, can preserve a variety of culinary in our country, as a form of respect for a culture and civilization that is part of the identity of a nation.
