Yesterday was a rather strange but fun day, for the first time I participated in the carnival walk with my son, in previous years this event was always cancelled for some reason, usually it was because the weather did not help and it was always raining or for other reasons that I do not know, yesterday the weather was perfect and nothing prevented us from going for the first time, it is a fairly short walk and very close to the school and my house, but quite fun and colorful.
I really felt a relief because this day arrived since all this month the preparations for the party/walk and also carnival activities in general had me almost bald from the stress, finally it was over and we could relax and spend a different time, I was 20 minutes late because I had to prepare a meal for my son to take to the party after the walk and I wanted it to be hot when they ate it, luckily I managed to catch them and I could accompany my son on this special day.
There were all the kids from my son's school and all the teachers, each grade dressed up as something different, there were girls dressed up as sunflowers and I loved it, they looked very cute, the boys from my son's class were dressed as little animals and they also looked very cute.
Then a car with lots of decoration and music passed by, we gave way so that it could continue on its way and behind this car came another school doing its walk, in this area there are many schools and that's why later we got more people, however, everything was quite orderly, we gave way to a school and vice versa, also some children passed by playing drums and it was super cool.
I was a little afraid of the cars but they were in charge of closing the streets to avoid the passage, as I mentioned everything was quite orderly and quiet, we walked about 3 blocks and turned around until we arrived back to the school, where my son would have his party for 3 hours, I left him and I retired to let him enjoy with his friends, He was very happy to see me there accompanying him and I am also happy to be present in these moments of his life, it was an experience that I never thought I would live since I have never liked carnivals but now the world seems to be seen from a totally different perspective with a son.
