Para iniciar en esta maravillosa comunidad debo presentarme, y aunque uno pasa mucho tiempo tratando de descubrirse, y cree conocerse, siempre es difícil escribir sobre uno mismo, pero intentaré de la mejor manera posible darles un paseo por esta mujer que soy ahora.
Nací el 29 de junio de 1986, ese día se celebraba el mundial en México, se enfrentaban Argentina contra Alemania, por ende, mientras mi madre se encontraba en labor de parto, mi papá estaba muy atento del mundial, no sé si más que de mi nacimiento, pero conociéndolo ahora, puede que sí. Con esto no quiero decir que me gusta el fútbol, solo que me parece un dato curioso sobre mi llegada a este plano. Nací un domingo a las 8:30 de la mañana en Táriba, una de las ciudades del estado Táchira.
Mi nombre es Alexandra Valencia, tengo 36 años. actualmente vivo con mi familia en San Cristóbal, he sido muy afortunada en contar aun con mis padres, quienes son una pareja feliz y unida, mi hermano forma parte de la diáspora venezolana, ahora vive en Argentina con su novia, pero tuvimos una infancia muy feliz y típica de los 90´s donde la tecnología no formaba parte de nuestro día a día, crecimos montados en los arboles comiendo mamones, contándonos cuentos de terror y viendo películas en los canales nacionales junto a mis primos, y saliendo a jugar en la calle junto a mis vecinos.
Estudié Ingeniería Mecánica, y mientras recorría los pasillos académicos de la Universidad Nacional Experimental del Táchira (UNET), descubrí una de mis grandes pasiones, el teatro (a lo cual dedico gran parte de mi vida actualmente). Otra de las cosas que me apasionan, es disfrutar de la naturaleza, conocer y vivir grandes momentos junto a mis amigos, he tenido la oportunidad de recorrer gran parte de Venezuela y uno de mis lugares favoritos es la Gran Sabana, ya que la magia ancestral está presente en ese lugar.
Mis viajes naturales han disminuido después de que hace 8 años me lancé a la mejor aventura de mi vida, ser madre. Tengo una hermosa hija llamada Lía, ha sido la mejor y no tan mejor experiencia de mi vida, llena de muchos aprendizajes, llanto, alegrías, satisfacciones y noches sin dormir. Ahora tiene 8 años y esta próxima a cumplir sus 9 años. Ama ir a su colegio, ser bailarina y adora pintar en sus tiempos libres, aunque no les niego que también muere por estar jugando Roblox en su tablet constantemente, pero estoy orgullosa de mi hermosa hija creativa, alegre y espontanea, puedo decir que tengo una hija feliz y eso me motiva a seguir criándola con amor y dedicación.
A pesar de haberme graduado como ingeniero mecánico, no es realmente a lo que me dedico, recién egresada de la universidad conocí otra de mis grandes pasiones, el amor por la gastronomía, y aunque para muchos es una locura de creer, también logré estudiar para ser chef en panadería, repostería y pastelería, junto a unos grandes amigos de la fundación cultural Bordes, decidimos emprender un local de comida para poder poner en práctica todos mis conocimientos en la cocina, todo esto enlazado al arte, la cultura y la comunicación, si algún día están interesados en el arte regional y el acontecer en San Cristóbal, pueden visitarnos o a través de nuestra pagina www.bordes.com.ve
En la fundación cultural Bordes y sede de Café Bordes, también enseño sobre mi pasión... @teatrobordes es una academia con el propósito de trabajar el teatro físico para adultos, jóvenes y niños, siempre desde la lúdica teatral, allí junto a mi amiga bailarina Michelle Rodríguez le damos vida a las tablas san cristobalenses. Ella se encarga de la expresión corporal, la danza contemporánea y yo de la actuación, creación de personajes y teatro en su totalidad. Lo divertido de esto, es que tengo mi propia sala de teatro, en la cual se pueden presentar diferentes artistas locales, nacionales e incluso internacionales.
Una de las actividades que me apasiona aparte de cocinar, el teatro, la naturaleza y los viajes, es el séptimo arte. Me enamoré del cine desde niña y por eso creo que amo ser actriz y el teatro. Actualmente desde la fundación bordes proyectamos películas de cine independiente los días jueves, desde hace más de diez años, incluyendo foros con especialistas, como psicólogos, antropólogos, artistas. Junto a mis mejores amigos y mi chico @ismaelgranados quien además me ha traido a esta plataforma, acostumbro a hacer maratones de series y películas. Mis películas favoritas son los dramas y thrillers psicológicos, donde pueda disfrutar de una buena actuación. También he participado en algunos cortometrajes, como directora de arte, de actores, actriz, productora. Dirijo junto a mi equipo dos festivales de cine, uno de cine animado @elojoiluso y otro sobre ficción, documentales, video arte y video clips @encuentroparacinefago. Es necesario para mi el consumo de cine para poder hacer curaduría de todo el material que ingresa, además que me parece una buena técnica de aprendizaje de actuación.
Mis intereses se expanden en el mundo del arte, también soy una apasionada de la literatura y la música, aunque no sé tocar ningún instrumento, disfruto mucho escucharla y mover mi cuerpo al son de los diferentes ritmos musicales. En cuanto a la literatura, me encuentro culminando una maestría en literatura latinoamericana y del caribe en la Universidad de Los Andes (ULA-Táchira) esta maestría ha hecho que expanda más mi manera de pensar y conocimiento de textos maravillosos escritos en nuestro Caribe, permitiéndome comprender el por qué somos como somos.
Me considero una mujer apasionada, con sus altibajos emocionales, pero que día a día aprende a conocerse más para poder actuar de mejor manera en este mundo, siempre obrando de buen corazón y con la empatía hacia el otro, sobre todo hacia las mujeres, apostándole cada vez más al empoderamiento femenino, creyendo en el amor de las personas y en la energía que nos rodea, siempre rodeada de mujeres maravillosas con las que he creado un gran lazo (Aquelarre).
Soy amante de los cuentos paranormales, los sueños, los tatuajes, el arte, los libros, las películas, los buenos amigos, un buen vino, un buen romance, una gran familia y un buen hogar. Espero conocer a muchas personas y actividades por este medio, compartir mi vida con ustedes y hacer buenos amigos.

Another of the things that I love, is to enjoy nature, to know and live great moments with my friends, I have had the opportunity to travel much of Venezuela and one of my favorite places is the Gran Sabana, because the ancestral magic is present in that place.
My natural travels have diminished after 8 years ago I embarked on the best adventure of my life, being a mother. I have a beautiful daughter named Lia, it has been the best and not so best experience of my life, full of many learnings, crying, joys, satisfactions and sleepless nights. She is now 8 years old and is about to turn 9 years old. She loves going to school, being a dancer and loves to paint in her free time, although I do not deny that she also dies to be playing Roblox on her tablet constantly, but I am proud of my beautiful creative, cheerful and spontaneous daughter, I can say that I have a happy daughter and that motivates me to continue raising her with love and dedication.

At the Bordes cultural foundation and home of Café Bordes, I also teach about my passion.... @teatrobordes is an academy with the purpose of working physical theater for adults, youth and children, always from the theatrical playfulness, there along with my dancer friend Michelle Rodriguez we give life to the tables san cristobalenses. She is in charge of body expression, contemporary dance and I am in charge of acting, character creation and theater as a whole. The fun part of this is that I have my own theater room, where different local, national and even international artists can perform.
One of the activities that I am passionate about besides cooking, theater, nature and travel, is the seventh art. I fell in love with cinema since I was a child and that's why I think I love being an actress and theater. Currently, at the Edges Foundation, we have been showing independent films on Thursdays for more than ten years, including forums with specialists such as psychologists, anthropologists and artists. Together with my best friends and my boy @ismaelgranados who also brought me to this platform, I usually do marathons of series and movies. My favorite movies are dramas and psychological thrillers, where I can enjoy a good performance. I have also participated in some short films, as art director, actors, actress, producer. I direct with my team two film festivals, one about animated films @elojoiluso and another one about fiction, documentaries, video art and video clips @encuentroparacinefago. Film consumption is necessary for me to be able to curate all the material that comes in, plus I find it a good technique to learn acting.
My interests expand in the world of art, I am also passionate about literature and music, although I do not know how to play any instrument, I really enjoy listening to it and move my body to the sound of different musical rhythms. As for literature, I am finishing a master's degree in Latin American and Caribbean literature at the Universidad de Los Andes (ULA-Táchira). This master's degree has made me expand my way of thinking and knowledge of wonderful texts written in our Caribbean, allowing me to understand why we are the way we are.
I consider myself a passionate woman, with its emotional ups and downs, but every day I learn to know myself better to act in a better way in this world, always acting with a good heart and empathy towards others, especially towards women, betting more and more on female empowerment, believing in the love of people and the energy that surrounds us, always surrounded by wonderful women with whom I have created a great bond (Aquelarre).
I am a lover of paranormal tales, dreams, tattoos, art, books, movies, good friends, a good wine, a good romance, a great family and a good home. I hope to meet many people and activities through this medium, share my life with you and make good friends.
