State Of Entitlement : What Would I Change and Improve in Hive?

in GEMS4 years ago
  • First of all, I would like to thank @bluemist for organizing the State Of Entitlement Q&A Event and I will give my views on this.

I have been sharing my posts in the Gems Community in Hive for about 5 months. I take this platform seriously and try to take care of my every job. The support given to my publications motivates me every day and I think about how I can produce different content. It makes me happy to be able to earn income and see that I am successful in Hive.

  • First Question: Why Can't I Earn Income on Hive?

But not every user on hive is getting support and thinking why I am not getting any income. If you can't generate income, I think the author should question himself first. It should consider whether my content is of sufficient quality or what content I can be successful when I share. You can attract the attention of the curators when you make original publications on the activities you do during the day or on the subjects you have talent. A new user to the platform: I'm Here! To say and to realize
takes time . Therefore, it is necessary to continue working every day.

Second Question - This Is For Me: Why Am I Using The Hive Platform?

Earning money from your work motivates you and allows you to continue your work in the best way possible. In addition to earning income, I am happy to publish the content I produce for this platform. Hive is a social media platform, but you can earn money from your posts, I do not actively use other social media such as Instagram and Facebook. I enjoy creating and designing content. Creating content makes my time precious, and it is great for me to create new things rather than waste my time on idle stuff.

  • Am I Satisfied With My Income?

When you look at the contents I am currently publishing, I prepare different dishes and explain how to make natural skin masks. I buy ingredients for the food I prepare, and I buy different ingredients for the natural masks I make. In short, I spend money on my content, that's okay. Every job you do has a price. When you make content that costs money and you can't earn income, it leads you to quit your job. But I would like to thank @appreciator for their support. I can say that there are two curators who support me on this platform.

What Would I Change and Improve in the Hive Platform?

The first thing that comes to my mind is "Removing Automatic Voting System". Manual voting by curators will further increase participation and curators will be able to see how they support publications. I want to change the Improvement System. I know that a curator with high Hive Power gave very low automatic votes in the 4th and 5th minutes and then tried to get high curation for later. This is why many people look at which authors with high Hive Power curators manually rate; Accordingly, he won an unfair high curator award for his automatic voting. In other words, regardless of how many dollars the author earns per minute and minute; curatorial awards should be equal. If you have 1000 Hive Power, I think you should get a curation award equal to its equivalent. Frankly, I have no idea how to do it as it is not a developer.

An Improvement for Writers as Extra;

In Youtube System; Earning is provided according to the number of views of the person sharing the video + the advertisement in the video. ThreeSpeak on the Hive platform; It is similar to the youtube platform, but since there is no advertising agreement with Google, the video creator cannot generate extra income. That's why I would make improvements for the blog post or video shared on the hive platform to generate revenue for the content producers from the number of views, reads + advertisements.

It would be interesting to generate revenue for the content producers from the number of views. Good idea!

Thanks :)

When your contents are being rewarded, there is no how there would surely be inspiration to publish more contents.

I publish more about my daily life because that's something I don't need to think much about plus I work as an elevator engineer so I feel my content is not something that's common.

Yeah my content gets rewarded mostly by @appreciator and sometimes it doesn't. But what keeps me going when I don't get rewards often is the feel that there are better days ahead.

I'm still yet to totally understand that voting or reward pool but it would be great if there are more ways content creators can earn from their contents, maybe by number of clicks or views like you have suggested.

Hive bloggers' viewing + advertising earning can be a very good development for both curators and writers, but I don't know when this will come to life. Thank you for your comment. You may not earn income from every post, there is no "certainty" in anything you do in life, so it's best to keep working well and be motivated for the days to come as you say. I looked at your blog and you're trying to do quality work so congratulations. See you at a new event :)

Yeah thanks so much
