I hope you are all okay and have a good time, for today I'm taking you on a walk through Aarau, which I passed by shortly yesterday. Aarau lies in the central northen partof Switzerland along the Aare River, was once a fortified city thats why this gate as entry points to the old town. It is actually not clear when the tower was built. The lower part of the tower probably dates back to the 13th century. It was extended 300 years later, about the 16th century.

These kind of places are always a delight to walk through, you get to immerse yourself on the intersection between old and modern times. Amazing photography, the statue with the seemingly golden leaves on the background stood out for me :)
