Así es, soy voluntaria aproximadamente 10 años y no saben el impacto tan positivo que esto ha tenido en mi vida, hoy vengo a contarles un poco sobre mi experiencia.
Inicié este camino del voluntariado formalmente en la universidad, había una materia muy relacionada al servicio social y si no realizaba esas actividades comunitarias no pasaba al siguiente semestre. Ahí empezó este camino que valía 50 horas académicas y se convirtieron en 10 años.

I started this path of volunteering formally in the university, there was a subject very related to social service and if I did not do these community activities I would not go on to the next semester. That's where this path began, which was worth 50 academic hours and became 10 years.
¿Por qué me quedé?
Al principio confieso que lo hice por pasar de semestre pero al estar ahí cada semana compartiendo con la gente de la comunidad, aprendiendo y recibiendo tanto cariño, decidí continuar de manera voluntaria.
Mi formación como guía en el Campamento donde participé me ayudó mucho en mi desenvolvimiento social y así surgió esa integración tan amena y sincera.
Participé en planes vacaciones, talleres de formación, pasé fines de semana en las diferentes comunidades, me perdí muchas fiestas los viernes por la noche pero, ¿saben qué?. Todo valió la pena porque gracias al voluntariado una parte de mi valora y agradece mucho más.
Why did I stay?
At first I confess that I did it to pass the semester but being there every week sharing with the people of the community, learning and receiving so much love, I decided to continue volunteering.
My training as a guide at the camp where I participated helped me a lot in my social development and this is how this integration came about, so pleasant and sincere.
I participated in vacation plans, training workshops, spent weekends in the different communities, missed many parties on Friday nights, but you know what? It was all worth it because thanks to volunteering a part of me values and appreciates much more.
¿Cómo hacer voluntariado?
Es muy sencillo, porque hacer voluntariado es tener la voluntad de acompañar a los demás y de ayudar. Lamentablemente por la situación actual no podemos movernos de nuestros hogares, pero pueden empezar hoy mismo si así lo desean.
Cuando vamos a comenzar alguna actividad nueva, algún curso, deporte, etc. Lo primero que hacemos es prepararnos mentalmente, planificar, distribuir nuestro tiempo y ponerle todo el entusiasmo para comenzar.
Lo mismo pasa cuando hacemos servicio social o voluntariado. Nos preparamos internamente, reconocemos la presencia del otro, sentimos y agradecemos por esa persona que está ahí dispuesta a recibir nuestra compañía. Si empezamos desde nuestro hogar, hay que detenernos y observar: ¿De qué manera puedo hacer feliz al que está a mi lado?. ¿Qué hecho puede generar una sonrisa en mi pareja? ¿Qué palabras pueden alentar a mis hijos, hermanos, vecinos?. Y así visualizar las acciones que ayuden a mejorar nuestro entorno.
Entonces, somos voluntarios desde el hogar con nuestros seres queridos. Pero vamos más allá y por medio de las redes sociales somos voceros de buenas noticias, le deseamos un buen día al que está detrás de la pantalla y la persona que está pasando por un pésimo momento seguro con tu gesto se sientirá mejor.
It is very simple, because volunteering is having the will to accompany others and to help. Unfortunately because of the current situation we cannot move from our homes, but you can start today if you wish.
When are we going to start some new activity, some course, sport, etc. The first thing we do is prepare ourselves mentally, plan, distribute our time and put all the enthusiasm to start.
The same thing happens when we do social service or volunteer work. We prepare ourselves internally, we recognize the presence of the other, we feel and thank for that person who is there to receive our company. If we start from our home, we have to stop and observe: How can I make the person next to me happy? What event can generate a smile in my partner? What words can encourage my children, siblings, neighbors? And thus visualize the actions that help to improve our environment.
So, we volunteer from home with our loved ones... But we go beyond that and through social networks we are spokespersons of good news, we wish a good day to the one who is behind the screen and the person who is going through a bad time with your gesture will feel better.
Hay muchas ONG y empresas que realizan actividades en pro de la sociedad, toda esa información se consigue en Internet; también hay muchas maneras de colaborar con personas de escasos recursos si así lo desean. Lo importante es empezar, con un mínimo gesto o realizando acciones más grandes. Cualquier obra será reconocida por Dios y la persona que recibe ese gesto de tu parte nunca olvidará tu cara y siempre te recordará con cariño.
Esta bella chica vive en unas de las comunidades donde hago voluntariado y la conozco desde pequeña. El año pasado tuvimos un reencuentro lleno de agradecimiento y mucho cariño. Por eso les digo que si vale la pena cuando ves que puedes dejar huellas en los demás❤️
