Christmas presentation with the band.
Amigos ayer tuvimos nuestro evento con los trajes navideños y quería mostrarles un poco sobre cómo nos fue.
Friends yesterday we had our Christmas costume event and I wanted to show you a little bit about how it went.
Nuestro día comenzó de la mejor manera, perdiéndonos camino al evento, ya que el chofer del transporte era nuevo y se metió por las calles equivocadas terminando en el sitio equivocado. Ya después de haber ubicado al conductor hemos llegado al sitio y nos hemos preparado, las muchachas nos terminamos de maquillar y mientras algunos afinaban sus instrumentos, otros revisaban sus atuendos que no estuvieran mal acomodados o incompletos antes de arrancar.
Our day started off in the best way, getting lost on the way to the event, as the driver of the transport was new and got into the wrong streets and ended up in the wrong place. After locating the driver we arrived at the site and got ready, the girls finished their make-up and while some tuned their instruments, others checked their outfits to make sure they were not mismatched or incomplete before setting off.
Fue una marcha corta, donde nos concentramos en mostrar nuestra mejor actitud y dejar que el compás de la música guiara las pasos tanto de los músicos como de las bailarinas. La vestimenta suelta me ayudo a moverme de una manera fluida y cómoda por lo que pude moverme y tocar mi saxofón fácilmente durante toda la presentación.
It was a short march, where we concentrated on showing our best attitude and letting the beat of the music guide the steps of both the musicians and the dancers. The loose clothing helped me to move in a fluid and comfortable way so I was able to move and play my saxophone easily during the whole performance.
Ya después de terminar nuestra marcha, hicimos una demostración musical y al finalizar, cedimos el espacio a la próxima agrupación y procedimos a una merecida merienda y sesión de fotos. Al darme cuenta ya eran casi las seis de la tarde y debíamos irnos para todos poder volver a casa, a la cual llegue con mas ganas de dormir que de cualquier otra cosa. Aquí les dejo unas cuantas fotos de nuestro día y espero pronto volver a escribirles sobre nuestras aventuras con la banda y nuestros choferes un tanto desubicados.
After finishing our march, we did a musical demonstration and at the end, we gave the space to the next group and proceeded to a well-deserved snack and photo session. When I realized it was almost six o'clock in the afternoon and we had to leave so we could all go home, to which I arrived with more desire to sleep than anything else. Here are a few pictures of our day and I hope to write again soon about our adventures with the band and our somewhat misguided drivers.
