I remember any time we visit the nearest beach, we often see Seashell around it which Yoruba people called "Aje". The empty shells are normally found at the beach by beachcombers.
Mind you, the shells are normally empty because the outer layer of the shell is created by the animals that live in the sea. The seashell is a part of an animal's body.
The empty seashells are often found washed up on the beach by beachcombers. And the shells are usually empty because the animal has died and the soft part is normally eaten by another animal in the sea completely.
A seashell is an exoskeleton of an invertebrate that is (an animal without a backbone) so most of the shells that are found on the beach are the shells of Marin Mollusks.
Many types of shells can be found on beaches and I will mention a few of all; Barnacles, Horseshoe Crabs, and Brachiopod.
Uses of Seashell
Ordinarily, some people don't know that a Seashell can be used for a home decor or light strings. As for me, I use it as a decoration of the house, because mainly looking at it inside the house adds beauty.
I placed the Sea Shells on the TV and TV set. Another way to use it is to find a flower verse, place the Seashells on it, and put it on a dining table or any corner of a living room.
Don't forget that it can also be used as a Light String. Hanging up strings on light is one of the most popular ways to use seashells, and it is the traditional ways to add some whimsical Decor to a room or Porch.
Take it to the next level by gluing pair of Matching Shells around each bulb, usually to make the perfect lighting for a beachside porch or Christmas in a warmer clime.
I hope you all visit the Beach one day and find some Seashells for your home decor. Thanks for reading my post, your supports motivate me to write unique content. Have a nice day!
That's a wonderful idea! Living in a tropical country has left me with quite the collection of seashells over the years, now I actually have some additional aesthetic uses for them thanks to your post 😄
