Lataguri is a small town located on the Northern Side of the State of West Bengal and is widely famous for its lush greeneries and the Gorumara National Park that engulfs the entirety of Lataguri. I have stayed in this town for like 4 years and I have to say that my experience here has been pleasant for most of the part apart from the huge Earthquake that we had back in 2015. Apart from that I have had a lot of fun there in Lataguri whether it is watching Animals early in the morning or watching Peacocks dancing and even a Royal Bengal Tiger I have seen almost everything this Forest has to offer, but it seems a lot of people are still in a misconception that the only thing that Lataguri has to offer is just Animals and Forest. So today I will be writing down places that you can visit while you are here in Lataguri.
Gorumara National Park
It is a given fact that whatever happens here in Lataguri Gorumara National Park is always going to be the peak attraction of the town and almost nothing can overtake that. This Forest offers lush greeneries and a variety of Animals from Monkeys to all the way to Elephants.
The Murti River
This is the second most visited place near Lataguri which is the Murti River which is also now known as Murti several people have constructed various resorts and homestays so that tourists can stay there and enjoy the nature with Murti River running all day long and producing some soothing sounds.
Gajoldoba
Gajoldoba is the next best place to go near Lataguri if you are looking to have a bustling Evening and watch a cool Sunset with lots of different snacks and a view that is quite mesmerizing. I do have to say that this place does get a little overcrowded at times so pay attention to that.
Samsung/Suntalekhola
Samsung or rather Suntalekhola which is a place near Samsung is a nice little place in the mountains where you can have some nice quiet time to yourself. It is away from the masses and you even have to cross a suspension bridge to reach it. The added benefit is also the fact that in season you can also find several Orange Trees which bear loads of fruits in them.
Jaldhaka River
Now this one is a little bit far from Lataguri around 50 miles away but the scenery is worth it as you will be at tranquil by staying there in a Homestay nearby. It also is sometimes known for having some Deer roaming around so if you are lucky then you might spot a flock of them.
Hey that's so nice post I am also from India I love to travel new places.💓💓 I wish to travel Lataguri 😊😊
