It’s funny how occasionally unlikely events or circumstances can inspire me to write about them. I was watching the Roland Garros final the other day and witnessed Djokovic win his 23rd Grand Slam of his career. But besides his victory, what left me interested was his post-match speech. He talked about how he started playing tennis at seven years old and how he felt that he had the power to create his own destiny. He said, “I tried to visualize it. Take the means in your hands, believe it, and create it.” His speech left me stunned but curious at the same time. Knowing how successful he is in his sport, talking about his secret to success left me intrigued, so I had to do research on it.

I learned that visualization is a powerful technique that is based on the premise that what you envision and focus on has a high chance of materializing in your life.
