Last weekend I was on a walk through "El Laguito". A recreational area that is located within a military zone, Fort Tiuna, but that is open to the public, having as its main attraction the children's playground and of course the artificial lake that extends throughout the area.
Although I had frequented this place on other occasions, it was always for work reasons, since I had to cover a couple of social events in the sports area and once I took some photos of a music friend also in that place.
So I can say that this time it was the first visit for recreation and I can say that I enjoyed it a lot, because I was very well accompanied by my wife and my two pretty little girls.
It is curious because for several years we lived very close to this site and from our eyes it remained practically hidden, perhaps being in a military installation it was not exactly the type of area that we like to visit. So it was a pleasant surprise also for some friends and my wife who were going for the first time.
The end of the afternoon was very special because it is a place where birds congregate, especially the macaws, which are already familiar visitors in the skies of this city, and also herons, parrots, and macaws, were some of the birds that I managed to recognize

El Laguito.
El pasado fin de semana estuve de paseo por "El Laguito". Un área recreacional que se encuentra dentro de una zona militar, el Fuerte Tiuna, en Caracas, pero que está abierta a todo público, teniendo como mayor atractivo el parque infantil y por supuesto el lago artificial que se extiende por todo el área.
Aunque en otras ocasiones había frecuentado este lugar, siempre fue por motivos laborales, ya que me tocó cubrir un par de eventos sociales en el area deportiva y una vez hice unas fotos a una amiga música también en ese lugar.
Entonces puedo decir que esta vez fue la primera visita en plan de recreación y puedo decir que lo disfrute muchísimo, pues estaba muy bien acompañado de mi esposa y mis dos lindas y pequeñas chicas.
Es curioso porque por varios años vivimos muy cerca de este sitio y para nuestros ojos permaneció prácticamente oculto, quizás al estar en unas instalaciones militares no era exactamente el tipo de áreas que nos guste visitar. Así que fue una grata sorpresa también para unos amigos y mi esposa que iban por primera vez.
Fue muy especial el final de la tarde porque es un sitio donde se congregan las aves, en especial las guacamayas, que ya son visitantes familiares en los cielos de esta ciudad, y también de garzas, pericos, guacharacas, fueron algunas de las aves que logré reconocer.
