The most complex thing about humans and our existence is the feelings, our emotions. The complexities of actions and reactions, how everything we do affects someone else in ways that could open up their eyes to the love you have for them. Or, cause them to resonate with a hateful part of themselves which everyone is capable of. This is why I think we have to show more care when dealing with the feelings.
The human experience is a delicate dance between love and pain, connection and separation, joy and sadness. At its core, understanding serves as the bridge between these dualities. It’s what allows us to not just hear but truly listen. To not just see but perceive. Without understanding, our words can feel hollow, our actions misinterpreted, and our intentions lost in translation.
It is not a shocker that achieving understanding isn’t always easy. It demands patience, humility, and a willingness to step outside of ourselves—to quiet the ego and meet others where they are. The ego loves to dominate conversations, framing everything through a lens of self-preservation and validation. But when we let go of the need to be right, we create space for genuine connection. It’s in this space where we make room for the perspective of others that understanding flourishes.
So, let’s choose to see each other—really see each other. Let’s listen, not just to respond, but to understand. And let’s lead with love, knowing that every act of care, no matter how small, has the power to change someone’s world. We are all making sense of life in our own unique ways but, we can try to be good to each other. We are all a work in progress, but one thing we can do is always try.
