So I got a little busy today and decided to make my favorite drink out of purple hibiscus also known as Zobo
Ingredients
Purple hibiscus
Sweetener (Mango flavor)
Ginger
Pineapple (inclusive of the back)
Water
Purple hibiscus and the sweetener
Cut pieces of pineapple
Ginger
*Back of the pineapple
How I prepared it
I sliced the pineapple in tiny cubes so as the juice can be easily extracted.
I washed the purple hibiscus with a stainless bowl so that the sand can rest on the down.
Then hibiscus flower is sieved and transferred to the cooking pot.
90% of the water used to wash it is turned into the cooking pot for boiling. The rest 10% I threw away with the sand. The hibiscus flower we buy here contains a lot of sand.
I later on washed, cut into pieces and blended with a little water the ginger.
I poured the ginger into same pot containing the hibiscus flower and pineapple.
I then almost filled the pot with water and closed for it to boil.
Boiling
After boiling, I allowed it to cool down and I packaged it into neatly washed empty containers and sent to the fridge for cooling.
Wow! It looks delicious, and it has interesting ingredients.
Here in My country we use the ginger to calm sore throat...
We do that too. Ginger can be used for a vast number of things. Making zobo is one of them
Hehehe... Good!
Yeah. How are you doing @manujune
I'm good. Today was a funny day. My mom and I dyed our hair. We got blue and green hightlights. Quarantine is driving us crazzy.
Hahahahahaha... don't go to crazy. You could tag a picture for me to see in your next comment 😁😁😁
