If there is one thing in Australia that you can't get enough of, it is waterfalls. There are really many here and none is like the other. Just yesterday we discovered two new ones that we had never seen before, both of which are less than 50km away.
Wenn es eine Sache gibt in Australien an der man sich nicht satt sehen kann, dann sind es Wasserfälle. hier gibt es wirklich unendliche viele und keiner ist wie der andere. erst gestern haben wir wieder 2 neue entdeckt, die wir zuvor noch nie gesehen haben, dabei sind sie beide keine 50km entfernt.
Nambour Falls
The first of these waterfalls is a little outside of Nambour. It is located in the middle of a residential area and if you search a little, you will also find the way down to the foot of the waterfall. Unfortunately it didn't rain for a while, so there was very little water. Nevertheless, this waterfall with its turquoise pool felt like an oasis in the middle of a forest.
Der erste dieser Wasserfälle liegt ein wenig außerhalb des Ortes Nambour. er liegt in mitten eines Wohngebietes und wenn man ein wenig sucht, findet man auch den weg nach unten, an den fuss des Wasserfalls. leider hat es eine ganze weile nicht geregnet, weshalb recht wenig Wasser floss. nichtsdestotrotz kam einem dieser Wasserfall mit seinem türkisfarbenen pool vor wie eine Oase inmitten eines Waldes.
There is a small circular path through the forest, which leads you back to the beginning of the waterfall. here we explored the riverbed a bit and looked at the waterfall from above before continuing on to the next stop.
Es gibt einen kleinen rundweg durch den Wald, welcher einen wieder an den Anfang des Wasserfalls führt. hier erkundet wir noch ein wenig das Flussbeet und schauten den Wasserfall von oben an bevor wir weiter fuhren zum nächsten stop.

Mapleton Falls
The Mapleton Falls Nationalpark is just 30 minutes drive inland from here. Some of the Great Walks begin here. Hikes that last for several days and require some practice. But this Nationalpark also has something else to offer, e.g. the Mapleton Falls, which unfortunately have almost no water at this time of year. But the view from the Lookout was breathtaking again
Von hier aus nur ca 30 Minuten Autofahrt landeinwärts befindet sich der Mapleton Falls Nationalpark. Hier beginnen einige der sogenannten Great Walks. Wanderungen die über mehrere Tage andauern und einiges an Übung verlangen. Aber dieser Nationalpark hat auch noch anderes zu bieten z.B. die Mapleton Falls, die leider zu dieser Jahreszeit fast gar kein Wasser tragen. Dafür war die Aussicht vom Lookout mal wieder atemberaubend
But since we were already here, we went to the Wompoo Circuit, a short 1.5 km long loop through the forest. A really great hiking trail, with lots of birds, palm trees and other huge trees.
Aber da wir nun schon hier waren, begaben wir uns auf den Wompoo Circuit, ein kurzer 1.5km langer rundweg durch den Wald. Ein wirklich toller Wanderweg, mit jeder menge Vögel, Palmen und anderen rießigen Bäumen.
One tree was that gigantic that I couldn't get it completely on the picture.
Ein Baum war so gigantisch dass ich ihn nicht komplett auf das Bild bekommen habe.

Wow I was only at Nambour falls about two weeks ago and awesome walk down once you find it.
It´s a bit tricky to find, took me a while as well. :) But once down it´s so beautiful.

True, I fell even more attracted to Beaches, but right after that comes waterfalls. I´ve seen so many in the past years and none was like the other.

they are, so huge. but the best was the one big tree.

Solche Bilder machen mich traurig, weil es so viele Orte gibt und es mir unmöglich ist alles zu besuchen.
Oh das geht mir genauso, leider landen wir seit Jahren immer wieder an den selben Orten. Ab nächstem Jahr werden mal neue Regionen bereist. :)
