Well, it only took me a totally different blockchain, but I finally hit 10K SP or rather HP I should say. 10K was a goal I had set for myself a long time ago.
Most of that is all self earned too, which makes it even more special. I did invest some money into the platform when the price was over $1. My main goal was to get myself to 500 SP so I could get that slider bar to expand my voting power.
I have to be honest, I didn't think it would take this long for me to reach the 10k goal. We all know crypto can be a fickle friend and things don't always go the way we plan. It does make me a little sad that I wasn't able to reach that goal on Steem. Sure, I could keep posting on Steem and probably hit that goal within the next couple of months, but honestly, I am really excited about Hive, and I want to focus the majority of my attention there.
Ever since I learned about blockchain, I have been a big believer in it's potential. In fact, it is only recently that I started my first ever powerdown. These past two years I have been constantly building my account without taking any SP out of it.
I want to say my next goal is to hit a reputation of 71, but the truth is, that may happen after this post, so I don't really feel like that is too challenging of a goal. Instead, the next goal I am going to set for myself is 15k HP and I am hoping that I can achieve that by the end of this year. I know it will take a lot of hard work and potentially catching the eye of a Orca or two. I have faith in my content though, I am pretty sure I can accomplish my goal.
I really feel like the sky is the limit with Hive and the more that we invest into the platform now, the better off we will be in the future. Think about what Steem evolved to in just the last two years. Now, since Hive is using that as a starting point, it is hard telling what Hive is going to look like a year from now. The one thing I do know, is that it is going to be awesome!

Are you selling or converting your STEEM? I have my second lot coming liquid tomorrow.
So far I have been converting to Hive. I was close anyway, but that is really what pushed me over the top. Realistically, there could be a lot of people increasing their stake by .75% if they choose to convert everything. Hive could have a lot of sudden dolphins swimming around.
It is like being given free money. Not all mine will be going to HIVE, but I want over 100,000 before its gone.
That would be awesome for you! The conversion rate is a little better today than it was in the past.

I do agree with you and great to see you hit 10K. Time to try and double it as the power down helps boost the hive account. I don't see why you can't reach more than 15K by the year end. Sports is moving over so there is another outlet for growth.
Indeed. I was thinking 15K might be a little too conservative. Especially since I have just started my powerdown. I'd like to move some of it into WAX or BTC, but the majority will move to Hive.
True. I was looking at my options as well as I could hit 25K Hive by the time the power down is completed. Having all the eggs in the one basket is never good though so I will be keeping some Steem and one or two others I think.
My initial powerdown should leave me with a couple thousand Steem. I think that is a good hedge if he prices flip flop.

Congratulations on getting there at last. By selling some Steem for Hive you should make good progress in the coming months. We will see a lot of accounts gain some ground. That gives us a bigger say in what goes on here.
