Personally I don’t think there is a measurement to love. I don’t even think there is a proper answer to this. There are a lot of great love stories we’ve heard in the past; a man who sacrificed himself to save his partner( Jack in Titanic), a man who cycled across 8 countries to meet his love(PK Mahanandia) and many others. It is quite obvious that love is sacrificial but it’s also wise to not lose yourself while loving someone else. It’s very important to love yourself first then others.
I think the common mistake we make is searching for that one person we can trust, love and give ourselves to as a whole and we forget to actually be the same kind of person for ourself.
At one point I loved someone to an extent that the mere thought of life without them was unbearable😢. I got so used to having a significant other that I totally forgot what living independently felt like. It may sound fantasy but it’s also real. To love someone so deep even without their physical presence you will always find them within you. A song comes on and it reminds you of a person😌😍, you didn’t like the colour yellow and because your partner likes it you somehow start liking it too🥰. With all these beautiful things comes hurt. It ends well for some and doesn’t for others.😫
In all your loving love yourself more because at the end it’s always going to be You❤️
