Greetings to all my dear followers and readers of this platform, the topic I will share today is related to health, since the arrival of the deadly COVID-19 virus, there have been countless medical opinions about the consequences that this virus leaves in people who have been affected, there are many cases of patients who have expressed that they have been left with some sequelae among which we can mention high blood pressure, migraine, bone pain, among many others.
This information was provided by Case Western Reserve University in the United States, who conducted a study that determined that the population that suffered from COVID-19 may at some point suffer from Alzheimer's. The study showed that the most likely people are people aged 65 years and older and specifically a high percentage of women, the results of the research conducted by this American university was published in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease.

Alzheimer's disease is generally closely related to viral conditions such as COVID-19 and it is also closely related to diseases of the central nervous system since this virus provides a great cognitive impairment because the virus produces a neuroinflammatory phase very similar to the one that sustains Alzheimer's disease. The study consisted of the comparison of medical records of more than 6.2 million adults over 65 years of age who received clinical treatment against COVID-19 between February 2020 and May 2021, and who were required to have no Alzheimer's-related diagnosis.
In conclusion, the results of this study showed that older people, mostly women, who suffered from COVID-19 have a high probability of suffering from Alzheimer's disease as a result of the sequelae of the deadly virus that has claimed millions of lives. That is why, in my humble opinion, to say that the worst of COVID-19 is over is irresponsible, as more and more studies show that the post-Covid era can bring with it many conditions that can put our health at risk.
