Today I am going to share a very tasty recipe with you all. I will be making Donuts. Donut is a vert popular sweet snack that has a lot of fans. It is quite easy to make and bakeries do have donuts as one of their most selling products. Today I will share the recipe of making donuts right at your home.
Let's Cook
- Firstly we need to take a bowl and add half cup warm milk, 1 teaspoon active dry yeast, 1/4 cup sugar and mix it all very well.
- Now add 2 teaspoon butter, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla essence and 1 egg, then mix it all very well. Now add 2 cup maida and mix it properly. Now make a dough out of this mixture.
- Now sprinlke some maida on a flat surface and then keep the dough on it. Mix the dought for 10 minutes properly and then take a bowl with oil applied on it's body. Now apply a clean plastic film on the bowl. Cover the bowl with a towel and keep it for one & an half hour in room temparature.
- After that you would notice the the dough has doubled in size. Now sprinkle some maida on a surface and put the dough on to of it. Then roll it with a thickness 1/4 of an inch.
- Now, by using a cookie cutter, cut circular shapes out of the rolled dough and use any thing that works to cut a small circular hole in the middle like a bottle cap. Now in a tray sprinkle some maida and keep the cut outs into it. Now keep the tray for 20 minutes with towel covering on it.
- Heat some oil in a frying pan on low flame and fry the donuts.
- Now we need to make the icing for the donuts, for that take a bowl add 1 cup icing sugar, 2 teaspoon milk, 1 teaspoon coconut oil and mix it all very well and then add 1 drop food color. Now with the help of a toothpick try messing with the color to attain a design with it. Now dip the fried donuts into the icing.
