You must be tired of buying yoghurts from your local supermarkets. Well, don’t stop reading now because this would be your last yoghurt purchase, LITERALLY!
Ingredients:
2 cups Low fat milk
5 tablespoons of any Yoghurt with probiotic culture
1 cup Warm water
First, you wanna dissolve the milk with a little warm water, then add the rest of the warm water and set to boil on low heat. Stir occasionally.
You’d notice, after a few minutes, tiny bubbles forming on top. At this point, be conscious and stir continuously.
Keep stirring to avoid a film forming over the milk.
Once the milk is close to boiling point or just starting to boil, immediately take it off heat and allow to cool.
You should look out for a good yoghurt that reads “active culture” “live culture” or “probiotic culture”. This is the ingredient that sets your yoghurt. Regular yoghurt ingredients will not do it.
When the milk is neither hot nor cold (lukewarm), you’ll notice a film that has formed above the milk. Gently remove it, all if it. You don’t want all of that clogged fat in your yoghurt.
Discard the film.
At this point, you should add in your yoghurt. If it’s very thick, dilute first with the warm milK, then add in.
After adding your yoghurt, mix thoroughly and transfer to a clean air tight bowl, then cover with a plastic bag.
After that, you wanna wrap it with a clean towel and store in an oven for extra warmth. It should sit there for 8-12 hours.
VOILA!!!
Your Yoghurt is ready!!! How easy is this, right? I like to add in fruits or granola for that extra yumminess.
