Sunshine and smiles, Hivers! It's been a long time since I dropped a new blog. For today's blog, I'm going to share with you all how I enjoyed our department days this week. Let's get started!
This week, we celebrated the department days which is the CME days. These days students will showcase their talents and skills in their chosen field. This is also the time that we can relax and enjoy before a whole hell week. Before the CME Days, I prepared our banner for the parade by printing the funny faces of my classmates because this will be paste on the banner. They is also our last departmental day that we will experience and that's why we will make it more memorable.
As you can see in the picture, this is what it looks like. My classmates put the faces on the banner and all of us kept laughing because of the faces. At that moment, we are preparing for the parade for the first day of the departmental days.
This is my classmate, Lelis, she is cosplaying Moana for the parade. She wears simple since we're on a budget and also we are not prepared for this. The one that has leaves on the head is Aleyssa, she cosplays Te Fiti. As you can see, it doesn't seem like a Te Fiti because she's not green haha. They are not informed that there's a cosplay competition are all of the contestants will also attend the parade.
Some of my classmates were readying their selves for the parade to happen in a minute. They put some paints on their faces and also cosplay as hei hei and Kakamora, the coconut tribe in Moana. Even those two lovebirds are very sweet while painting the face of her beloved gf.
After that, we assemble and make a line because the parade will start on time. Theirs a group of bands that will lead the parade and some courses that are under our department are also present at the parade. Some of them bring some flags and balloons while others just bring themselves.
As you can see in the picture, one of the profs took a picture of us while waiting for the parade will start. The banner is so funny and big that people keep laughing if they see that. At that point, we just kept laughing and joking at the same time started to be exhausted because of the heat.
When the parade started, all of us started to walk and keep cheering. A lot of students are watching us while having fun on the parade. Some of our classmates kept shouting about our chant and taking some pictures.
We also took some pictures with my friends while walking. At this point, we are just having fun and enjoying this parade even though the heat makes us more exhausted. The parade was just very fast and some of the students and other professors kept taking photos of us and also made some videos. They even tell us to say hi to the camera and that makes us more wilder and very fun.
At this time, we are walking at the side of the oval. I see some students are cosplaying Moana and Maui. Some Moana cosplayers are bringing chicken as hei hei.
I also took a video of myself while walking to Kadasig gym because the parade will end there.
At this moment, we are inside now at kadasig gym. The emcee will call each year that will go to the kadasig and we also had a designated area where we would go. A lot of students shout and cheer when they go to Kadasig Gym and some of them are freshmen and second-year students.
After the parade, we also saw some of the activities that will happen now. The activities that they ready in today's event are the CME Burak, Cosplay competition and cheering. One that I love about those activities is the CME Burak and the cosplaying. As a committee of CME Burak, I cheered to the team that I was assigned to take care of. I also laughed so hard at the cosplaying because one of the cosplayers in the cosplay competition was very funny because she even brought the rooster while showcasing her dance. She also rolls to the ground and keeps making funny moves.
After the activities were being held at the Kadasig gym, we went to the student activity center so we could participate in the halal seminar that was held there. This seminar is very important for us as Hospitality Management students so we will be guided correctly on what Muslim cultures and what Halal and Haram are. One of the speakers at this seminar is our professor who traveled to another country just to have seminars and attend classes about Muslim culture.
While the seminar was ending, my professor asked some simple questions about the seminar and Joshua was the one who got the answer and he answered it correctly but my professor was silly, she made Joshua dance and Joshua is dancing also that's why we laughed so hard at him.
And that's the end of the blog, hives! This is just the beginning of the CME days that happened this week and all I can is that it was very fun at the same time very exciting. The activities and the program that the officers prepared for this event are truly beautiful and very fun. The sad part is that this is the last time that we will attend this kind of event in our department because, next school year, we will have our OJT or internship and we will just visit to school if needed. This type of experience will forever be my good memories of my school era.
