Sunshine and smiles, Hivers! I'm back again for another new blog for this week. In this blog, I'm going to share with you my journey on making crochet flowers during Valentine's Day. Let's get started!
I started a crochet business back in 2022. This business of mine helps me to pay my school fees and to support my family. As you read my previous blog, I write about my journey in making crochet garments. You can check it on the link I provided.
In 2022, my first Valentine's Day, I started to prepare just a little bit of flowers since I was still learning how to wrap a bouquet and also how to arrange them. As you can see in the picture, this was the first time that I wrapped a bouquet, and it's the first bouquet that I made. This bouquet was purchased from a friend of mine, and at that time, I was still learning about wrapping and making flowers. I used kraft paper for the wrapper because I don't have any wrapper for the flowers, and also I don't even know what the name of the old newspaper that is commonly used to wrap bouquets is.
On the second Valentine's Day in 2023, these were some of my bouquets that I made from that Valentine's Day. These bouquets have been sent from my clients, and they give me five-star ratings for my products and also my services. I was totally happy that I made them happy with my service. As you can see, the bouquets are quite impressive and have a lot of improvements. I really listen and ask for feedback from my clients because somehow feedback helps me to grow and to know what I improve. The feedback that my clients gave me was applied to my business and made my business more successful up until now.
As you can see in the pictures, these bouquets were made on any occasion. That yellow lily was ordered from my cousin's girlfriend that represents her name. She ordered it because she was impressed with my work, and also, she wants to have a crochet bouquet. And that one bouquet was made for my sister's graduation, which you can read about in my blog about my sister's graduation.

I also make a themed bouquet like what you saw in the picture. These bouquets were ordered by my friends. They told me that I could make the bouquets into a Spider-Man theme, and I just made what they wanted. Thankfully, the bouquets look so good, and my friends told me that the bouquets were nice and very cutesy! The Sundrop bouquet was inspired by the Tangled movie. The client requested to make a sundrop and wrap it in a violent wrap since Tangled has this purple scheme. The bouquet also has a chameleon, but I didn't take a picture when I attached it because I forgot it haha.
On 2024 Valentine's Day, I really improved my wrapping skills and also arranged the flowers. As you can see in the pictures, these bouquets were very big and absolutely beautiful. In every bouquet that I made, they were truly big since my clients requested to make big bouquets instead of small.
As you can see in the picture, I also made a small bouquet that has 1-2 flowers. I made them so I will not be worried whenever the client chats with me, asking for a bouquet of flowers. Some of the people are likely to buy a handmade flower and deliver it impromptu; that's why I prepared plenty of bouquets so whenever they ask for one on hand, I can give them those bouquets.
Some of the bouquets were being given to my friends as my gift for that Valentine's Day. These small bouquets that I gave to them are those bouquets that have not been sold, and I just keep those bouquets for them. They were very happy when they received those flowers because they keep bugging me to give them a handmade flower because they don't want to buy it haha.
The year 2024 is the best year for me because after Valentine's Day, I gained a 5-digit income selling bouquets on Valentine's Day. The money that I gain from selling helps me to buy my wants and also to support my studies. That was also the first time that I had that kind of money since I'm a student, and this business is the only way that I can have money.
As you can see in the picture, this was the flower that I made for my mother on Mother's Day. I just put chocolates and also flowers that I made last month. The bouquet was so big that my mother was in difficulty holding it. My mother deserve to receive a flower like this because all of the sacrifices that she do for our family and to us to make us follow our dreams.
Lastly, this year, this is also the year that I'm not much selling bouquets because I was busy following my dreams, and also I can no longer manage the time for my business and the time for academics. As you can see in the picture, these are the big bouquets that I made for this year, and I'm very thankful to my clients that keep ordering for me even though I'm not active in posting and marketing my products. These clients of mine are very loyal to me, and they just keep ordering bouquets for Valentine's Day. I was thankful that even though I was on hiatus, some clients chose me to make their bouquets for Valentine's Day.
And that's the end of my blog, Hivers! This journey of making bouquets makes me improve my business even more. I am very thankful to all of the people who support and keep buying from my business because they are the ones who motivate me and are behind my improvements in making the business better. Without them, up until now I'm not still improving, and I think my works are still the same as my first bouquet that I made.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, and I want to greet you all a happy Valentine's Day to all of you! See you in my next blog, Ciao!
