This morning, I prepared a refreshing and healthy Amla Juice for myself and my husband. It's packed with nutrients and is super easy to make! Here's how you can prepare this amazing drink:
Ingredients:
2 Indian gooseberries (Amla), deseeded and chopped
1 small carrot, chopped
½ small beetroot, chopped
1-inch piece of ginger, chopped
½ teaspoon rock salt (sendha namak)
1 cup water (for blending)
½ cup additional water (to dilute)
Lemon juice (optional)
Method:
Add chopped amla, carrot, beetroot, ginger, and rock salt to a blender.
Pour 1 cup of water and blend until smooth.
Add ½ cup more water to thin out the juice.
Strain the mixture using a sieve to remove the pulp.
Pour the juice into a glass and add a dash of lemon juice for extra flavor if desired.
Your Amla Juice is ready to energize your morning!
Don't Waste the Pulp
The leftover pulp is full of fiber and can be reused. Here's how:
Dough for Roti or Paratha: Add the pulp to your wheat flour. Mix in some carom seeds (ajwain) and salt. Knead the dough and make delicious, nutritious rotis or parathas.
