Boby y el Duende del Rio
A Boby le tuvimos un especial cariño por ser un perro muy inteligente y obediente, así fue como decidimos integrarlo a nuestros paseos de fines de semana. Un domingo de mayo nos dirigimos al rio que solíamos visitar. La camioneta iba repleta de los aparejos necesarios para pasar un agradable día familiar. Como era costumbre, acampábamos a la orilla de un remanso muy bonito, debajo de un matapalos que nos ofrecía sombra permanente, más abajo corría mansamente el agua con un dejo de tranquilidad. El bosque, abundante en plantas autóctonas y flores a lo largo de la ribera, brindaba siempre un toque mágico a sus visitantes.
El viaje con el perro tuvo marcado por un evento que jamás olvidaré. Luego de nuestra llegada al balneario, Boby bajó de la camioneta como si alguien lo hubiese llamado por su nombre, corría alborozado. Parecía que se sentía dichoso, no obstante adquirió al poco rato un comportamiento excéntrico, brincaba y ladraba al aire desesperadamente dando vueltas sobre sí mismo como loco. Me recordé inmediatamente del suceso de la casa de mi tío en el cual tuvo un encuentro con un fantasma. Por eso le decíamos el perro clarividente.
Todos observábamos pasmados la escena. Mi sobrina comentó:
-¡Otra vez Boby con sus ataques de locura!
El evento duró alrededor de media hora. El perro ya cansado se echó en la arena, extenuado como si hubiese corrido una maratón.
Siempre inquisitivo, obtuve de los lugareños información de que en el remanso donde solíamos acudir era visitado por ceretones, como los llaman en la región, también denominados duendes o gnomos. Así lo indicó el dueño de una posada:
-Si pariente, donde llaman El Vegón, donde el rio es clarito y está el matapalo gacho, ahí dicen que salen los ceretones.
-Que son esos ceretones?- Pregunté.
-Esos son los duendes de por aquí, los niños y los sensibles los ven siempre por esos lados. No les tenga miedo, ellos por lo general son juguetones y faramalleros, pero por precaución siempre eche agua bendita al lugar, ellos no saben lo que es la moral, no vaya a ser que le roben algo de valor jejej – concluyó el señor.
Así fue como Boby, mi perro clarividente, en su nueva aventura se hizo amigo de estas criaturas del mundo celeste, que abundan en los lugares donde la naturaleza hace gala de su belleza y majestuosidad escondiendo misterios que pocos pueden desentrañar.
¡Por cierto, nunca encontré mi reloj de 100$!

The Dog Boby and the River Goblin
We had a special affection for Boby because he is a very intelligent and obedient dog, so we decided to integrate him into our weekend walks. One Sunday in May we went to the river we used to visit. The van was full of the necessary equipment to spend a pleasant family day. As usual, we camped at the edge of a very beautiful pool, under a tree trunk that offered us permanent shade, and below it the water flowed gently with a hint of tranquility. The forest, abundant in native plants and flowers along the shore, always provided a magical touch to its visitors.
The trip with the dog was marked by an event I will never forget. After our arrival at the spa, Boby got out of the truck as if someone had called him by name, he was running with joy. He seemed to feel happy, however, he soon acquired an eccentric behavior, jumping and barking in the air desperately circling over himself like crazy. I was immediately reminded of the event at my uncle's house where he had an encounter with a ghost. That is why we called him the clairvoyant dog.
We all watched the scene in awe. My niece commented:
-Again Boby with his crazy attacks!
The event lasted about half an hour. The already tired dog lay down on the sand, exhausted as if he had run a marathon.
Always inquisitive, I got information from the locals that in the backwater where we used to go I was visited by ceretones, as they are called in the region, also called goblins or gnomes. This was indicated by the owner of an inn:
-If a relative, where they call El Vegón, where the river is clear and there is the matapalo gacho, there they say that the ceretones come out.
-What are these ceretones? I asked.
-I asked. "Those are the elves around here, children and sensitive people always see them on those sides. Don't be afraid of them, they are usually playful and playful, but as a precaution always pour holy water on the place, they don't know what morality is, so don't let them steal something of value hehehe - concluded the gentleman.
This is how Boby, my clairvoyant dog, in his new adventure became friends with these creatures of the celestial world, which abound in the places where nature shows off its beauty and majesty, hiding mysteries that few can unravel.
By the way, I never found my $100 watch!
