I received a TikTok notification earlier saying that one of my posts has reached 500 views and 16 likes.
This is the first notification I’ve received so far. It seems the system has recognized my activity and sees me as a legitimate user of the app. I guess this is their way of distinguishing me from fake accounts or bots, and they wanted to acknowledge my efforts by showing me a milestone I’ve achieved.
This got me excited because, up to this point, I’ve just been posting whatever I feel like sharing. I haven’t been aggressively marketing my TikTok page—I’m letting the content speak for itself and attract attention naturally. I think I mentioned this in one of my earlier posts here on Hive, which makes me realize that my TikTok activity is more of a personal experiment. Unlike here on Hive, where I put a lot of time and energy into building connections through consistent posting and engagement, my TikTok approach is the opposite.
Basically, I’m just dumping videos on TikTok while trying to build a habit of learning videography and sharing my work online. Of course, I’d love to monetize my content in the future, though I had no idea how to make that happen—until earlier, when I received another update to my TikTok page.
Apparently, my account is now eligible for monetization? What??? Am I really getting this opportunity so soon?
I swear the TikTok Studio feature wasn’t available on my page when I first created the account or during my first week of activity. It only showed up today, which makes me believe I’m now being given a chance to monetize. The only question on my mind now is: how exactly do I make it happen? Hahaha.
Well, the next thing I need is to create a video that could go viral. That kind of moment would bring more eyes to my page, and hopefully lead to more followers and likes too.
I have to be honest—the thought of being able to monetize my videos and build a brand on TikTok is making me feel both excited and pressured at the same time. It gives me hope that my efforts in creating videos might soon be rewarded, and that I could potentially gain an extra source of income. Although that may not happen right away, it still excites me because I’m once again feeling the drive to learn more about this new skill I’m pursuing. Now, it’s got me thinking about what kind of video content I should focus on mastering.
Although it might be a bit early to focus on the monetization side of my TikTok journey, I feel like it’s the right time to start planning for it. Maybe it’s about manifesting the goal—getting familiar with the idea of monetizing my content so that it feels more attainable. I’ve also been thinking about how I can improve my craft to produce higher-quality video content.
So this weekend, that’s what I’ll be focusing on—reflecting and planning. That’ll be my personal assignment, and I’m hopeful I’ll be productive with it. I’ll be sharing more updates about my TikTok journey soon!
Thanks for joining me on this exciting chapter of my TikTok journey. I’m looking forward to learning, growing, and sharing more along the way. Stay tuned for more updates and feel free to follow along as I explore what’s next!
I haven't seen anything about Tiktok here for a long time and I didn't know how to make money from it. To be honest, I've never even downloaded Tiktok on my phone because the videos in my country are more cringe than funny. Nevertheless, there are a lot of people in my country who make a living from Tiktok and become influencers. Maybe I should download it and share my nature videos there, who knows, maybe I will start making money and buy a Hive :P
Congratulations man..little by little you keep winning more. It’s not easy at first but with accumulation of work, you would soon start autopilotting
It’s worth all the work of only you can keep pushing to get to that point. You are doing great already
congratulations, hopefully you will a lot money from tiktok.
Nice! How do you find the monetization scheme of TikTok. Is it easy?
I have heard that there are videos that you can just share to gain rewards. You don't have to make them. But, they are like ads or something. They also have pay to watch thing. But, all of that is just something I came across.
Congrats on the 500 views man. I happy to see TikTok reward small creators maybe someday we could be earning Hives with TikTok posts haha. Keep posting, your videos will only get better man

Thanks for the tips 😁
The hardest part of getting monetisation on there is getting 10k followers. The second most difficult thing is 100k views in the past 30d, but I think that can be obtained with specifically made videos.
I'm far too lazy for that stuff though, so I never bothered trying to run for it. ;^)
You're not wrong with that. The followers is what I think is the most challenging for me as I'm completely anonymous there.
The views is something that I feel I can achieve 😁
