This past week felt like it went by quickly, but at the same time, it felt unproductive to me. I often experience this sense of boredom whenever I’m not satisfied with what I’ve accomplished. Does it feel like FOMO? I guess it does, since I don’t feel like I’m any closer to the goals I set for myself this year. And with the first quarter of the year ending in just a week, I’m already feeling the pressure of not being where I thought I would be by now.
That said, I don’t dwell too much on my failures, as I know it’s not a healthy way to handle setbacks. Still, I have a habit of looking back and asking myself what I could have done differently to achieve a better outcome. These are the thoughts that keep me awake at night.
Rainy days tend to make me feel less optimistic. Am I the only one who feels this way? I hope not!
Even though I don’t like very warm weather, I’d still prefer it over rainy days. I find it extra challenging to go about my usual routine when it’s raining, and I get especially annoyed when I have to walk in the rain. Wet shoes and socks are the worst! That’s why I always carry an extra bag with a spare pair of socks and a backup shirt, just in case I get soaked. And of course, I always have to bring an umbrella because I never know when it might start raining again.
Despite all the inconveniences that rainy days bring, I still find a little motivation to make something out of them. As soon as the rain stopped, I took some simple photos of the flowers that had fallen during the downpour. These were Plumeria flowers, and there are plenty of them near my house.
Rainy days may not be my favorite, but they do offer unexpected moments of beauty, like fallen Plumeria flowers waiting to be captured through my lens. Even with the little inconveniences, I try to find something positive in the gloomy weather. After all, every rainy day eventually clears, making way for something fresh and new.
Do you believe that rainy days can have a positive impact on your mindset and creativity?
I think it is. To a certain degree, yes, but it requires someone to set their mindset to find the good to an event that they find inconvenient 😁
True! A little shift in perspective can turn inconveniences into moments of inspiration.
Nice captures! Rainy days has one very important thing, a good afternoon nap!
Your absolutely right about that 😉💯

Just like you, I am not fond of rainy days as there's a lot of inconvenience. I cannot go for a walk and run outside.
I'm glad that I'm not alone 😁
