My review about Light of the Seven a soundtrack by Ramin Djawadi for Game of Thrones

in HIVESICIANS4 years ago

This is one of my favorite songs from Iranian-German music composer Ramin Djawadi, he studied at Berklee College of Music. Later his talents and music became interested for Hans Zimmer, and he started to working on projects with Zimmer, so he moved to LA for that reason, he was mostly known for his scores for the 2008 marvel film Iron Man and from that time till now he was producing many great tracks for different movies and TV Series, such as Prison Break, West World, Game of Thrones, etc. he was also making music for Games such as Gears of War and Medal of Honor and Warcraft. ... .

The song which I bring it for you today is called "Light of the Seven" and it was played in a scene of the Game of Thrones called "Cersei Lannister blows up the Sept of Baelor" It was composed by Djawadi in 2016 for GOT and it is an orchestral piano piece which has some great epic Cello and Vox sounds, it is starting with the piano and Cello part and in the middle part there is a quiet section which it is only Piano performance playing some high chords and then the main theme arpeggio performs again while the Cello join again and then there is the creative and amazing part which children vocals are joined while they are performing some tritone notes, then the music keeps growing with the Cello and Church Piano Rhodes sound and when it reaches the high climax then it goes to a solo part performed by Rhodes piano which it makes it special and there is some background strings, then the song gets back to the last climax but this time it is only by Rhodes and Cello, the music keeps performing the next quiet part of piano and this time we have a solo cello performance in the mix and it also contains some new melodies while it is performing the main melody, the Rhodes and piano and Cello keep making a great jam in that part and in 8:19 there is a transition which made with the Rhode beautifully and it goes to the ending section, what I can say about it is that it is really great how he managed to make a short song so long while you can hear the main melody keeps repeating but with the adds and the instruments composition and layers and the mix was made it like a song which it has not same part. the ending part is make you reminds another song from the series, the main theme of Game of Thrones and I love that transition from that song to the main theme of the GOT.

Here is the long version of that song which it only has a photo on it, but you can also listen and watch it on the game of thrones scene in the next video which I also added its link below:

This music was made to make you feel like something bad is going to happen, cause I know they also asked him to watch that scene of Game of Thrones and make a music related to that part but it is not just about that, we can already hear the sounds and feel that it is telling us something scary is happening and also it has a feeling of revenge in it with some sadness and regret in it.
