I forgot to die. Review

in GEMS3 years ago

There are many different motivational books on the shelves of bookstores. People are obsessed with development and motivation. Evolve or die, evolve, run, run, do not stand still. Full pages of blank letter sets. You rarely see a real, interesting story.

And among the variety of books, I found one very good "I forgot to die" by Khalil Rafati. Not a writer, not a coach, but a person with an unusual destiny. Awesome book that can be read in one day. This story swallows the reader entirely, so interesting it is.

How often can you hear the life story of a heroin addict in the first person? The life of a person deprived of love and family, sympathy and empathy. Probably rarely or almost never.

How much does a person need to sink to the bottom in order to understand the value of his life? And can you then find the strength to rise from this bottom? This book tells us about the life of a lost person who is looking for his own path in life. A person who knows what the bottom of life is, he has reached it more than once. Scary sketches of the past in the book evoke a storm of emotions. Crime, drugs, death, violence. Sometimes it is very difficult to read such scary things, you just want to put the book aside and not return to it. Sometimes it seems that he will be able to get out of the clutches of drugs, there is a light in life. And again everything starts over again. A terrible addiction that is difficult to defeat.

Not every person has the strength to start all over again, to force himself to give up bad habits, to be a pure soul and body. Thanks to such stories, we see that life is not only a perfect picture from the instagram accounts. This is pain, and a million attempts and failures, and ups and downs. This is hard work, not a gift from fate. Behind every successful person is a past that will not always be cloudless. I recommend reading this book to people looking for themselves, their hope and their path.
