El día lunes tuve guardia nuevamente por el área de Cirugía. Es por esto que estaba algo ausente en Hive. Ya que fueron 24 horas en el hospital, y el día de ayer dormí casi todo el día.
On Monday I was on duty again in the Surgery area. This is why it was somewhat absent in Hive. Since it was 24 hours in the hospital, and yesterday I slept most of the day.
Pasé casi toda la noche dentro del Quirófano observando, y aprendiendo. Esta operación, era una obstrucción intestinal, ocasionada por una apéndice perforada. Estaba un poco asustada por la paciente, ya que se veía bastante mal, y fui yo la que estuve con ella, todo el tiempo antes de que le colocaran la anestesia, hablándole , le decía que todo saldría bien, y que pronto se sentiría mejor. Afortunadamente así fue.
I spent most of the night inside the operating room observing, and learning. This operation was an intestinal obstruction, caused by a perforated appendix. I was a little scared for the patient, since she looked pretty bad, and I was the one who was with her, all the time before the anesthesia was placed, talking to her, telling her that everything would be fine, and that soon she would feel better .Fortunately it was.
Después de eso, me escapé por un rato, que se convirtió en 3 horas, me quedé dormida, me fui a eso de las 3 am y regresé a las 6 am. Nunca he hecho algo así, es que estaba muy cansada y tenía demasiado sueño, ya que la noche anterior no había dormido tampoco.
After that I ran away for a bit, which turned into 3 hours, fell asleep, left around 3am and came back at 6am. I have never done something like that, I was very tired and was too sleepy, since the night before I had not slept either.
Pero bueno, fue una guardia bastante tranquila, y aburrida. No llegaron tantas cosas interesantes y estuve gran parte dormida jajaja. Como siempre mi compañera fiel estuvo conmigo todo el tiempo.
But hey, it was a pretty quiet watch, and boring. Not so many interesting things came and I was asleep for the most part hahaha. As always my faithful companion was with me all the time.
