This post marks the first time in a long time that I've been able to publish a post 7 days in a row from Monday to Sunday. Of course with me being the responsible one in the family, that time has to come from somewhere (my other projects), but I wanted to push myself to at least get a full week in as I try to breathe new life into this account.
I genuinely enjoy the creative process, as there's something wonderful about putting that symbolic pen to a sheet of online digital paper and giving birth to something where nothing was before.
I also find that it really fires up the creative juices, as the more often you write, the better your content flow becomes. This way you don't need to cheat as some do and have AI generate the content for you as your own field of ideas will be rich enough for you as a writer to harvest on your own.
Back in the Steemit days (remember those?), I was usually able to write 2 or 3 posts a week, while still having just enough time left to read a few posts and share some thoughtful comments. Working, coursework and helping a sick family member out all ate into that time, but when I did finally have a moment to create, it was a joy to sit down and get started.
Usually I'd publish on the first day, then comment when I was free on the 2nd day. Day 3 I'd begin tossing around ideas for the next post, and the cycle would begin again. So this is a recreation for me as a Hive content creator, and while I doubt that I'll be able to maintain this pace, I'm proud of myself that I was disciplined enough to commit to this week and see it through.
Writing makes me a better writer.
How many of you write for the sheer joy involved in the creative process? Often I see people sharing that becoming a good writer is too hard, but I couldn't disagree more. All you have to do is lay off the ChatGPT for your text, and start writing, one word at a time. :)
