yep! mxl 990 premplified with digimax D8, it's a pretty good mic! I'm not a high note singer either, it tooks me like 6 takes to get it hahah

Yep, that's the same mic. A friend of mine is a distributor for MXL, so he got me a good deal. It's good enough for my needs. I don't have a great singing range, but you adapt the songs to fit what you can do.
