[ESP-ENG] Primera semana haciendo rehabilitación en mis piernas // First week doing rehabilitation on my legs

Saludos queridos amigos de Gems, en esta oportunidad les traigo mi semana haciendo rehabilitación. Después de varios meses y de días dificiles donde no podía ni apoyar los pies en el suelo puedo decir que ya he avanzado bastante aunque aun me falta mucho por recorrer para poder recuperar fuerzas en mis piernas.

Greetings dear friends of Gems, this time I bring you my week of rehabilitation. After several months and difficult days where I could not even put my feet on the ground, I can say that I have made a lot of progress, although I still have a long way to go to be able to regain strength in my legs.

Poco a poco fui perdiendo las fuerzas en mis piernas y es que luego de pasar unos días en casa el dolor se fue intensificando, pase muchisimas noches sin poder dormir bien, de mal humor, la circulación empezó a fallar hasta el punto que no pude hacer mi vida cotidiana y me pasaba el día y la noche solo en cama. Fueron días amargos donde me hacía varias preguntas y todas sin respuestas. Al pasar los días acudí al medico el cuál me diagnostico con neuropatia diabetica, me receto unos medicamentos y hasta ahora ha disminuido el dolor y las molestias pero no se han quitado del todo.

Little by little I was losing strength in my legs and after spending a few days at home the pain intensified, I spent many nights without being able to sleep well, in a bad mood, the circulation began to fail to the point that I could not do my daily life and I spent the day and night alone in bed. They were bitter days where I asked myself several questions and all without answers. As the days went by I went to the doctor who diagnosed me with diabetic neuropathy, prescribed me some medications and so far the pain and discomfort have decreased but have not gone away completely.

Inmediatamente surgió la necesidad de asistir a hacer rehabilitación debido a que no podia caminar bien y las piernas estaban sin fuerzas para hacer caminatas cortas, subir y bajar escalones y un sin fin de actividades diarias. Obligatoriamente tuve que acudir a un centro público porque las terapias privadas son muy costosas, gracias a Dios todo fluyó sin inconvenientes; me diagnosticaron atrofía en mis músculos y pude empezar hace una semana atrás con mis terapias en un centro mas cerca de casa, empezaron colocandome calor, electricidad y luego ejercicios en el gimnasio del mismo centro guiados por fisioterapeutas.

The need to go to rehabilitation immediately arose because I could not walk well and my legs were too weak to take short walks, go up and down stairs and do an endless number of daily activities. I was forced to go to a public center because private therapies are very expensive, thank God everything went smoothly; I was diagnosed with atrophy in my muscles and a week ago I was able to start my therapies at a center closer to home, they started by applying heat, electricity and then exercises in the gym of the same center guided by physiotherapists.

Agradecida siempre porque ya puedo permanecer un poco mas de tiempo parada, y caminar un poco mas, aunque aun es muy pronto para la mejoría total se ven cambios significativos. Al principio me costo mucho ya que tenia tiempo sin hacerles tanto movimiento, así que empezaron haciendo masajes, estiramientos y preparandome para hacer ejercicios de fuerza para fortalecerlas.

I am always grateful because I can now stand for a little longer and walk a little more, although it is still too early for total improvement, significant changes are seen. At first it was hard for me because I had not moved them so much for a long time, so they started doing massages, stretching and preparing me to do strength exercises to strengthen them.
