Hola, comunidad de #hive #spanish y amantes de la #fotografia, hoy quiero mostrarles uno de los atractivos de Cumaná, Estado Sucre como les mencione en el titulo hare referencia sobre El Museo del Mar, este lugar es uno de los atractivo turísticos de aquí a pesar de que lo han mudado y ya no cuenta con el apoyo que antes recibía para un excelente funcionamiento.

Si bien es cierto El Museo del Mar fue inaugurado el 12 de Octubre de 1984, teniendo como sede el antiguo aeropuerto de la ciudad de Cumaná, en este lugar funcionó durante 13 años, le abrió los brazos a muchos visitantes y en todo ese recreó a muchas personas que se acercaban a visitarlo.

Durante varios años todas las colecciones pertenecientes a este museo se guardaron en un galpón y con el pasar del tiempo se estaban deteriorando.

Para el año 2005 se plantea la posibilidad de reinaugurarlo en una nueva sede y es entonces, cuando el 17 de Marzo de ese año, con el apoyo y esfuerzo de dos de sus fundadores ambos de la Junta Directiva de FUNDAOCEANO, se reinaugura en el Complejo Cultural Luis Manuel Peñalver, ubicado en la Calle Vela de Coro, donde actualmente funciona y permanece abierto para el disfrute de la comunidad del pueblo sucrense y de sus visitantes.
Su misión es divulgar y acercar a la comunidad al conocimiento científico y al quehacer educativo y recreativo.

En la actualidad (año 2021) en este museo se muestran exhibiciones de osamentas de fauna marina, maquetas referentes al tema marino, también podemos observar especies marinas en los acuarios esto resulta ser muy atractivo para quienes visitan el Museo y sale encantados de la atención brindada y todo lo que aprecian mientras que van con un guía del museo quien va explicando cada detalle de lo que allí se observa, en lo personal para mi es impresionante mas aun cuando te presentan el fósil de un Celacanto, un ejemplar único en nuestro país, mientras más recorres las salas del Museo más temáticas encontrarás como por ejemplo la de fondos Marinos, la de corales o la de artes de pesca.
