Worries that go round and round !

Hello everyone. Today I'm going to talk about a very important subject: "how not to let worries overwhelm you". Let's look at it in three steps.

The first step, as I often say, is to go back inside yourself and observe yourself. Observe yourself with full awareness, with calm. Observe already that you're caught in a cycle of worries, an annoyance of worries going round and round, thoughts going round and round in your mind. Really, the first thing is to realize this, to realize the state of your thoughts and how you're caught up in them. And from there, you'll be able to start stepping back from these worries.

In a second step, breathe consciously. You'll return your attention to your physical body, concentrating on breathing in and out, your natural breath. Without forcing anything, just breathing naturally, but putting your attention back on your breathing. You can observe all the places in your body where your breath makes them move, it could be in your ribcage, in your belly, in your shoulders....

And from this place of calm, more and more calm inside you, you'll be able to start differentiating between the worries that preoccupy your mind, which are linked to another time, perhaps to something that happened yesterday or even perhaps a minute ago, but which is already gone now. It's up to you to come back into the present moment and realize where you are in the present moment.

Maybe in the present moment, you're sitting in a chair at your desk, or in bed, or in a garden .... Right now, look at where you are. Are the worries there right now, right here ? You're in your body, you're breathing, you're coming back to that reality. For now, just breathe.

In the third stage, you'll be able to shift your attention to trust, trust in life. It's a state of trust in life. You can really put yourself in that state of mind, "I trust life". You let it happen (situations, events..., everything that happens outside you). You can also set an intention at the same time that everything will go well, that everything will follow its normal course.

So, in three steps:

1: Make yourself aware of the state of your thoughts, where you are, that worries are taking up a huge part of your mind.

2: Bring yourself back into the present moment by breathing. You can really come back into the present and see what's going on right now. The problem isn't there right away. Right now, you're in your body, breathing.

3: Let go and trust life.

So that's really a path that's very, very useful and very effective when you're overwhelmed by worries.
