Meeting my Mentor

in GEMS3 years ago

Hello dear hivers! Hope you have all been well.

Today, I am going to tell you about the wonderful opportunity I had to meet my mentor and good friend yohan. I would say that the meeting was mostly uneventful, but that would be a lie😂.

I never did realise how hard it is to have meeting on a University campus, with campus students being noisy and unsettled. The places to have a quiet and serene meeting are few and far between. I am also currently in my last semester, doing Law as I mentioned in my first post and so when yohan arrived, I was not around the library (where we chose to meet first). We settled in a bit late, however the area that we settled in was still quite noisy (this time, it was the dining area). We soon found where to sit (an almost empty lecture room) and got to work.

The meeting we had was aimed at honing my skills at writing, where to source my opportunities to write and how I can make more money😉. He talked in detail about how the reward system works in hive and how one can benefit from it. He also talked about the collection of rewards from the hive wallet and he also explained how one can withdraw their hive, and the Crypto currency market sites that we hivens use in seeing the market value of the hive. Of course, I still have a lot to learn about Crypto currency, and so he advised that I read more articles on crypto currency to see how it works and how a person can earn more through the use of crypto currency as their investment.

This was a very fruitful meeting, I never realised how much more I had to learn about hive. After the meeting, we proceeded to have lunch, where we had smoothies and while at it, I was introduced to another hiven, mariez (through a phone call). She is a Ugandan hiven I had the honour of speaking to and she encouraged me to keep on writing, getting the views from that is what enables one to earn from hive💸.

I thank yohan and mariez for sharing their experiences on hive and how they got started. I hope that I continue to grow and learn from you. I also thank you dear hivens for reading. Have a blessed week!
