RE: Milestones While I Still Sit At Life's Crossroads

Hey, @revisesociology.

re: career

You say so. :) Clock seems to be ticking faster on my end, especially since my choices for a new career haven't really been taking. I'd rather not waste more time and money on something that isn't going to go anywhere.

Software development in general would seem to be as safe a bet as you can get. At least from the outside looking in.

re: Orca

Very true. You don't know. Maybe KOINOS will decide to hit us all with 1:1 and then I'll be that much closer. :)

re: across the US

My parents and my youngest sister did it after I was gone from home because she was going to school in Massachusetts and then at Purdue University. Otherwise, I haven't had much of a reason or call to do it. As it is, trying to get to South Carolina in around 4 days isn't going to leave much time for any kind of sightseeing, and once we get out of the rockies, I understand most of it is flat and boring for miles and miles and miles. :)

Actually, I can be fascinated with landscapes that others can't, so maybe it won't be that bad.

Yeah, you probably should get to Northern Scotland.

I do have to say, though, I have roamed around most of the western United States several times, so I know I've put in enough time and mileage to get to the East Coast and back at least two or three times. I've also been to Mexico in several different places, while I could have been traveling the US. :)

Sort:

KOINOS, what's that about?!?

The West is the best, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, love that area, and the whole California coast North, and the Rockies of course!

Mexico is cool too!

Hey, @revisesociology.

Well, I believe that's the name of the blockchain Andrarchy and the OpenOrchard crew are working on along with a few other things. Doesn't sound like they're near to going live yet, but they've been updating on HIVE on a fairly regular basis.

re: the West

I live in Oregon, lived in California, Washington, and Utah, spent time with my grandparents on the west side of Idaho (plus numerous trips back and forth to Eastern Idaho), and have driven through corners of Arizona, and most of Nevada. Never been to the Rockies or New Mexico.

With Mexico, I've been to Mexico City and many of the surrounding states, plus places like Guadalajara, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, and some ruin sites—Tulum, Coba, Chichen Itza, Uxmal and Teotihuacan.
