The situation in which we find ourselves thanks to the covid-19 has made us have to be creative in some tasks that we used to do outside our home, since although there are businesses that must be closed (those that require bringing together several people) to avoid a contagion. In this case today I come to talk about something as usual as cutting our hair.
Usualmente me corto del cabello 1 vez al mes, por lo que estaba difícil que pudiera estar los 3 meses de cuarentena dejando que creciera tanto, ya que es posible que ni me pudiera reconocer, y el primer mes de cuarentena llegue al punto de pensar en cortarme el cabello en la totalidad por no saber a dónde ir a para este mantenimiento estético.
I usually cut my hair once a month, so it was difficult that I could be in this 3 months of quarantine letting it grow so much, since it is possible that it could not even recognize myself, I even thought to cut my hair entirely during the first month.
Pero luego pensé que mi novia podría apoyarme con esta labor y buscamos algunas herramientas que hemos visto que usan en las peluquerías y que podrían ayudarnos. Lo más importante es una afeitadora eléctrica, aunque si tienes una tijera también funcionaria pero requiere de un poco más de paciencia, además de esto se necesita de algún peine o de 2 peines (uno más grande que otro), dependiendo de si quieres hacer una diferencia en lo largo que quede el cabello.
But then I thought that my girlfriend could support me with this work and we looked for some tools that we have seen that they use in hairdressing salons and that could help us. The most important thing is an electric shaver, although if you have a scissor it will also work but it requires a little more patience, in addition to this you need a hair comb or 2 combs (one larger than the other), depending on whether you want to make a difference in how long the hair is.
Para comenzar debemos ver el lugar en que queremos que el cabello quede más corto (en mi caso es en la parte baja) y tomar el peine más corto para apoyarnos y de esta forma tendremos una medida más objetiva del largo que estaremos dejando al final.
To start we must see the place where we want the hair to be shorter (in my case it is in the lower part) and take the shorter comb to support us and in this way we will have a more objective measure of the length that we will be leaving at the end.
Luego de esto vamos a usar el peine más grande para tener una medida objetiva del corte y que nos dé un resultado más largo en el cabello. A mí personalmente me gusta usar tijera en la parte alta de la cabeza.
After this we are going to use the largest hair comb to have an objective measure of the cut and to give us a longer result on the hair. I personally like to use scissors on the top of the head.
Y listo, este es el resultado final del proceso de corte.
And voila, this is the result of the cutting process.
No es necesario mucha técnica como en la mayoría de cosas que hacemos, lo más importante es tener una medida para evitar un cálculo subjetivo que termine en un mal corte y para esto el uso de un cepillo a menos que tenga una afeitadora eléctrica con los niveles.
It doesn't take much technique as in most things we do, the most important thing is to have a measure to avoid a subjective calculation that ends in a bad cut and for this we use a hair comb unless you have an electric razor with the levels.
