Good morning everyone,
This morning I'm happy to share with you my latest creation. Its the making of a gathered strap slippers because on of the strap is with a gathered design. For the second strap, I used a silver chain to adorn it. The slippers is quite easy to make and you can give it a trial at home.
Tha materials I used include:
- Maco 4
- Nora
- Maco sole
- Leather
- Suade material
- Chain
- Tagging pin
- Gum
PROCESS
- The first thing I did was to make tha gathered strap. This was done by measuring The length and height of the strap as I want it to be. I used 5cm by 8inches. Next I cut maco of 3.5cm by 8 inches. For the leather I use 10.5cm by 16 inches. This is because the maco 4 will stay inside the strap so it need to be smaller in height while the leather will be stiched inside. The leather was turned inside and sown at one side then I turned it out, put the maco inside and I gathered the leather and use glue to hold it.
- As you can see above, I've marked and cut the Maco and the Nora. I capped the Maco with the Suade and I marked the point to fix in the strap. Before I fixed the strap I fix in the chains.
- After fixing the strap I gum it with the back of the Maco. Then I gum the Maco with the back Nora. Alto the Nora, I've previously filed the edges and I've fixed the heels.
