Good morning fellow hivers,
I bring to you once again my latest bag piece. It is a mini bag with lock and leather chain handle. I call this bag "Kenzie". I made two bags with the same design but different flap and different leather. The process of how I made the pattern, I'll be explaining that in a later post. I made four flaps for the bag but I worked with two first. The other two will be made later too. The bag can be carried in three ways. The first way is the the picture above, the second is in the picture below while the third is with the brown leather bag below.
I love the black leather, it sits well with the design.
The brown on the other hand is one of.my favorite colors. It almost blend with my skin.
The materials I used for the bags are simple materials and they are stated below:
Soft fibre
Leather of choice
Suade material for lining
Soft black leather for the sides
Bag lock
Chain
Bottom pin
Eyelet
Gum
PROCESS
- The first thing I did was to create the pattern. After that, I marked it on the soft fibre and leather of choice. Next I cut it out and I gummed the two together. For the sides though, I didn't use Soft fibre, I used Soft black leather instead.
- After capping, I gummed the lining to the sides and the upper part of the main bag, then I fixed the lock, bottom pin and eyelet then I gummed the rest of the lining with the bag.
SEWING PROCESS
- For this bag, I used my normal flat bed machine for the tiny rope, the sides and the top part of the bag. For sewing the sides with tha bag,I used my cylinder bed machine.
