Los sucesos que suelen ocurrir en el mundo nos muestran muchas veces qué tan irresponsables podemos ser. Uno a veces no toma dimensiones de lo que podría llegar a ocurrir y se limita a dejarse influir por los que están a su alrededor.

Obviamente sabemos que las cosas que puedan suceder no son deseadas. Nadie desea tener un accidente ni generar uno que afecte la vida de otra. Pero está más que claro que muchos de nosotros buscamos la forma más fácil de llegar a nuestro destino. Lo vemos a diario, por ejemplo cuando un conductor pasa las vías del tren con la barrera baja. A veces logrará hacerlo a tiempo, otras veces tendrá que detenerse y lamentablemente la tercera posibilidad será la del impacto que arruine sus vidas por completo. Bajo esta circunstancia uno se lo pensaría dos veces el cometer tal despropósito pero lejos está de que los casos no vuelvan a sucederse.
Estos casos suceden también en otros contextos similares. Podemos ver muchas veces que hay gente que intenta cruzar una avenida muy transitada y peligrosa donde muchos conductores se pasan el semáforo en rojo. Pero también existe el inconveniente de que muchos peatones intentan cruzar con el semáforo en verde y aquí está el dilema. Basta con que dos personas crucen cuando no deben para generar automáticamente la ilusión de que ya ha cambiado a rojo el semáforo, por lo que las demás personas casi por instinto también cruzarán. Ya han ocurrido accidentes así donde son atropellados por el error que comete otro y uno le sigue el paso.
Ahora debemos pensar, ¿qué es lo que nos mantiene a salvo de tantos peligros en la vía pública? Bueno, podríamos considerar que existen varios factores de los cuales los más importantes son el respeto, la paciencia y la perspicacia.
Por un lado el respeto significa que nosotros entendemos que tanto nuestra vida como la de los demás vale. Entonces si vemos que alguien está por cometer un error, intentar que no lo haga. Supongo que podríamos intentar con advertile de la situación peligrosa que esté por cometer. Por otro lado, la paciencia. No solo basta con esperar a que el semáforo esté en rojo para cruzar la calle, también habrá que esperar a que los automóviles terminen de frenar y no haya más peligro de que alguien se pase cuando no debe. Tenemos un tiempo considerable hasta que cambie a verde por lo que podríamos usar tan solo cinco segundos para asegurarnos de que cuando crucemos logremos llegar al otro lado. Por último, la perspicacia. Muchas veces nos damos cuenta de las cosas porque observamos todo a nuestro alrededor. Y es que hay que mirar en todas las direcciones al menos en ese momento. Está más que claro que hubo momentos captados por las cámaras en lo que cualquier cosa podría pasar y tenemos que ser consciente que la vida es una selva, donde todo puede pasar. Teniendo en cuenta que solo es una, habrá que valorarla como tal.
Creo que si entendemos y comprendemos cómo tratar las normas de tránsito, estaremos más que seguros, no solo nosotros sino también quienes nos rodeen.

Sometimes he will make it in time, sometimes he will have to stop, and unfortunately the third possibility will be the impact that ruins his life completely. Under these circumstances, one would think twice about committing such nonsense, but it is far from certain that these cases will not happen again.
These cases also happen in other similar contexts. We can often see people trying to cross a busy and dangerous avenue where many drivers run red lights. But there is also the inconvenience that many pedestrians try to cross with the traffic light on green and here is the dilemma. It is enough for two people to cross when they should not to automatically generate the illusion that the light has already changed to red, so that other people will also cross almost by instinct. There have already been accidents like this where they are run over because of a mistake made by another person and one of them follows in their path.
Now we must think, what is it that keeps us safe from so many dangers on public roads? Well, we could consider that there are several factors of which the most important are respect, patience and perspicacity.
On the one hand, respect means that we understand that our life as well as the lives of others are valuable. So if we see that someone is about to make a mistake, we try to stop them from doing it. I suppose we could try to warn them of the dangerous situation they are about to commit. On the other hand, patience. Not only is it not enough to wait until the traffic light is red to cross the street, we must also wait for the cars to finish braking and there is no more danger of someone passing when they should not. We have a considerable amount of time until it turns green so we could use just five seconds to make sure that when we cross we make it to the other side. Finally, insight. Many times we realize things because we observe everything around us. You have to look in all directions at least at that moment. It is more than clear that there were moments captured by the cameras in which anything could happen and we have to be aware that life is a jungle, where anything can happen. Bearing in mind that it is only one, we will have to value it as such.
I believe that if we understand and understand how to deal with traffic rules, we will be more than safe, not only ourselves but also those around us.
