Revisando mis archivos encontré algunas fotos de mi época universitaria, sobre todo cuando me encontraba en los primeros semestres de mi carrera, puedo decir que esos primeros años fueron los mejores, pues conocí personas increíbles, que lamentablemente por la situación del país y otras por decisiones personales se alejaron de la universidad.
Cuando cursaba la cátedra de Historia de las artes plásticas I y II, me tope con un profesor super ocurrente, quien se las ingeniaba de mil formas para hacer el aprendizaje más didáctico (cosa que siempre admire y disfrute al máximo). Entre tantas actividades alguna vez nos pidió realizar un Stop-motion para recrear por equipos algunas creaciones del pintor Miguel Ángel Caravaggio. Debo admitir que no fue nada fácil aunque con mucha creatividad y esfuerzo logramos resolver, es por eso que quiero mostrarles como fue el proceso y el resultado de esta divertida tarea de Historia de las Artes, que nunca voy a olvidar.
Going through my files I found some photos of my college days, especially when I was in the first semesters of my career, I can say that those first years were the best, because I met people incredible, that unfortunately for the situation of the country and other personal decisions moved away from the university.When I was in the chair of History of the Plastic Arts I and II, I ran into a super witty teacher, who managed in a thousand ways to make learning more didactic (something that I always admire and enjoy to the fullest). Among so many activities, he once asked us to make a stop-motion to recreate by teams some creations of the painter Miguel Ángel Caravaggio. I must admit that it was not easy at all, although with a lot of creativity and effort we managed to solve it, that is why I want to show you how was the process and the result of this fun task of History of the Arts, which I will never forget.
Para la realización de esta actividad cada equipo debía escoger entre dos a tres obras del pintor Caravaggio, en el caso de mi equipo utilizamos: Baco con cesto de frutos, los músicos y el descendimiento de la cruz. Obviamente la primera tarea era observar, las características más resultantes de la obra, para luego buscar los implementos que utilizaríamos para recrear las obras.
To carry out this activity, each team had to choose between two to three works by the painter Caravaggio, in the case of my team we used: Bacchus with a basket of fruits, the musicians and the descent from the cross. Obviously the first task was to observe, the most resulting characteristics of the work, and then look for the implements that we would use to recreate the works.
Debo de admitir que casi todo lo que utilizamos para recrear las obras fueron improvisadas, cosas que encontramos en el momento. Lo único que nos dispusimos a buscar fueron ciertas pinturas y los instrumentos pues sabíamos que no los encontraríamos fácilmente.
I must admit that almost everything we used to recreate the works was improvised, things that we found in the moment. The only thing we set out to look for were instruments that we knew we would not find easily.
Luego de tener todo "montado" nos dispusimos a tomar las fotografías, para ello realizábamos diversos movimientos, así como el cambio de posición de los objetos, para cumplir con el propósito de un Stop motion. Pero allí no culminaba el trabajo, pues luego de tomar las fotografías debimos editarlas, buscando el mayor acercamiento de estas hacia la pintura original, en lo que tiene que ver a luces y sombras, pues es un aspecto muy peculiar en las obras de Caravaggio.
After having everything "assembled" we got ready to take the photographs for it, we made various movements, as well as the change of position of the objects that when converting the photographs into a video the movement could be observed.
