I am above all a nature lover and a musician, I'm not a model but I love filming my music videos and sometimes even do my own garments for them. I think I'd feel shy in a studio XD but in the forest I'm certainly myself "on character" or so they say. that's the reason I'm usually barefoot in pictures or hiding my feet under medieval garments, I'm a practical girl wearing hiking boots hahah :) and quickly fixing some make up in the rear-view mirror of the car XD. I'd love to try some more complicated make up or props for a studio because certainly some things requiere too long to consider them practical to film out. So we just enjoy the location and scout places to film our scenes if they match with the idea and concept of the song.

Generally the best way to go for locations! Boots, then barefoot! I photographed a client the other week who got married with enormous, comfortable hiking boots under her wedding gown! :D

Smart girl, one gotta be practical :)
Comfortable is the way
and light gear to carry ;-) I cannot be carrying suitcases of garments LOL, the craziest I've done is to bring the harp along ;-) Now, seriously, keep it fun

I'm learning to take lighter and lighter gear with me to the locations I like shooting. :D Its the hills that kill everyone (including me) on their way to the spots.

I miss doing primarily outdoor portraiture work in /my/ style. So many people want the light-bathed, golden hour, orange and blue images, whereas I prefer to be more dark green, gold and violet in my palette.

It is a niche; which means I still have to do my day job to pay the bills.

Yes, lighter gear means the possibility of wandering further. For me it is about being practical thoughlet's admit my work would benefit from a camera upgrade. All my gear is aging, and tgey become better and lighter
Yes, I know niche is both good and bad

In music my following will be more faithful, you are generic, but also small size audience. All is balance I guess

I would upgrade lighting before upgrading cameras. :) But lights are heavy and expensive. It is a constant arms race.
