Just wanted to share about a little experience that I had with my uncle's girlfriend and her twin. It was one such casual, soothing party meant to unwind from the stresses of everyday life.
A Special Visit from my Uncle's Girlfriend and Her Twin
Well, my uncle is from my mother's side, and he came with his girlfriend and, to my surprise, brought along her twin sister! Yes, you heard me right, his girlfriend has a twin! It was quite a surprise and I was happy to meet them both. What made it even better was the fact that they were so friendly and approachable. I literally had nothing to worry about sitting beside them and before I knew it, we were having jolly great chats about life.
Karaoke Time - A Must in Every Filipino Gathering!
As the night went, we then took some selfies while my uncle was singing loudly. Coincidently, there happened to be a karaoke setup at home that day, and of course, there is no Filipino moment bonding that does not include a karaoke! My uncle loves music, in fact, he loves singing and can even play the guitar. What made it more magical was seeing him enjoy being so much.
We all took turns singing, and some even gave it a try doing duets.
A Short Visit to My Uncle's Cat
While we all had fun, I decided to take a quick break and step away for a while. I went up to my uncle's pet cat, which was lying in a quiet place, looking very peaceful. The cat looked so at ease, as if it was in deep thought. I went very near to it, and I decided to take some selfies together.
Initially, I thought that it might move away or get irritated but, to my surprise, it did not do such things at all! I snapped photos on and on as the cat just sat there unbothered.
In one of the shots, it even captured the closing of its two very charming eyes-it looked really tired from walking around the day. Such a cute and calm moment!
Since we live in a neighborhood where there are rules about noise, we had to stop the karaoke session before it got too late. Even at 11 PM, we cannot use the karaoke anymore, so we took full advantage while we could.
And that's a wrap for this blog, my dear Hivers! Such a simple yet meaningful bonding-the hearty laughter, good songs, and even some time with my uncle's cat. Sometimes the best moment is in life are those spent with the people (and pets!) who make you feel happy and at ease.
