Happy Wednesday, dear Hivers! As the month of December continues, so is the celebrations. Last Friday, we had a simple Christmas dinner at the office. Before we ended our shift, each employee was given a basket full of grocery items- cookies, chips, Spam, ingredients for macaroni & fruit salad, a bottle of sparkling wine, plus a whole uncooked ham.
Just so you know, this basket is very heavy and could break an arm. So i resolved to leave the basket in the office for the day and just bring home the frozen ham first.
The theme of our Christmas dinner is Denim & Dine. We are required to wear at touch of denim, may it be demin pants, top, or both.
The weather was quite bad during this time but thankfully, the venue was just a walking distance from our office so employees didn't had much difficulty going to the event.
The program started with a band serenading the crowd with classic Christmas songs followed by dinner. In all fairness, the dinner was truly sumptuous, prepared by Oakridge Horizons Cafe. My favorite is their lasagna and leche flan.
Since majority of the Christmas raffle were given in the preceding Christmas parties, the company only gave a few grand raffle, like a 20,000 pesos (350 USD), and a few gift certificates. There was this "guess the song title" segment which the crowd really enjoyed.
After the formal event, its now time to party and have some fun. Unfortunately, drinks were only limited to beer and Smirnoff which ran out very quickly. Good thing my friends and I were able to get one for ourselves.
The party ended around 10pm. Before going home, I noticed the crocheted Christmas tree again and this time, it has been lighted (see: Giant Crochet Christmas Tree). It looks so beautiful in person!
That's it for todays blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
