Dim light dining, anyone? My date took me to Cuarto Cafe for dinner. I don't know but there's just something romantic about wooden black and brown interiors. Its like i've been transported into some other place i've never been.
Upon entering the cafe, people will be greeted with a display of liquors near the entrance. The idea is both elegant and suggestive, I must say. Unfortunately, i'm not so familiar with wines so im not sure what type these are.
This restaurant is located in the ground floor of Cuarto hotel in Capitol Site, Cebu City.
We then asked a table for two. Normally, when ordering food in a restaurant we haven't been to, my date and i usually order based on the recommendation by the staff. But this time, my mind was so clear of wanting a pasta, so we ordered a Bolognese pasta and fried ribs, since according to the staff, its one of their best sellers.
While waiting for our food, i noticed the wooden stairs which leads to the spa area. I was so tempted to avail of their service but since we only have limited time, we resolved to try it next time.
We were also seated near the prep area, a room with glass walls. We can perfectly see through how they cook our meals. But i'm guessing they have another dirty kitchen hidden somewhere, where they cook roasted meals and other heavy meals.
Finally, foods were served! According to the staff, there's a free toasted bread that comes with the pasta during brunch hours.
They're serving is good for exactly one to two people. Beyond that, there will be a shortage. The meals are delicious but I find it quite pricey. This must be for a special occasion or celebration kinda restaurant.
