Hola a todos los constructores de Hive. Sigamos construyendo ésta nuestra comunidad y si es bajo la bandera de la sostenibilidad mucho mejor.
Día tras día, por todos los lados, nos meten la idea de la sostenibilidad. Incluso cuando nos quedamos sin trabajo, nos dicen que debemos “reciclarnos”. Que aún siguiendo en nuestro sector o intentando cambiar a otros, debemos actualizarnos, debemos renovarnos. Pero ¿sabemos qué es realmente la sostenibilidad?
Vayamos a lo que dice la Real Academia de la Lengua Española: “Especialmente en ecología y economía que se puede mantener durante largo tiempo sin agotar los recursos o causar grave daño al medio ambiente”. Es decir, que la sostenibilidad implica a la economía, ya que ésta depende de los recursos que disponemos para generar trabajo y riqueza.
Si basamos nuestras economías en la extracción de estos recursos sin contar con el medio ambiente, cómo bien sabemos, acabaremos con ellos y nuestra economía se irá al traste, al igual que nuestros trabajos. Esto es puramente economía lineal, donde los recursos que nos da la naturaleza los utilizamos y una vez utilizados se convierten en residuos que desechamos sin darle otro uso. Incluso muchos de ellos los tiramos al vertedero contaminando los suelos de dónde esperamos obtener en un futuro nuevos recursos. Pero muchas otras veces los incineramos para generar energía, sin importarnos que al quemarlos emitimos CO2 a la atmósfera; lo que implica a la vez daños al medio ambiente. Y a este proceso lo llamamos “valorización”.

Day after day, from all sides, we get the idea of sustainability. Even when we become unemployed, we are told that we must "recycle". That even if we stay in our sector or try to change to others, we must update ourselves, we must renew ourselves. But do we really know what sustainability is?
Let's look at what the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language says: "Especially in ecology and economics that can be maintained for a long time without exhausting resources or causing serious damage to the environment". In other words, sustainability involves the economy, since it depends on the resources we have available to generate work and wealth
If we base our economies on the extraction of these resources without taking into account the environment, as we well know, we will end up with them and our economy will go down the drain, as well as our jobs. This is purely linear economics, where we use the resources that nature gives us and once they are used, they become waste that we throw away without any other use. Many of them we even throw them to the landfill polluting the soil where we hope to obtain new resources in the future. But many other times we incinerate them to generate energy, without caring that when we burn them we emit CO2 to the atmosphere; which implies at the same time damages to the environment. And we call this process "valorization".

Si consideramos que los recursos una vez utilizados se convierten en residuos y que la mejor forma de no dañar al medio ambiente es no deshacernos de ellos sino reutilizarlos, fomentamos la idea de la economía circular que según el concepto de economía sostenible ambiental; este círculo repercute directamente en la sociedad.
Es verdad que muchos de los residuos generados por la economía, se desconoce, hoy en día, cómo pueden ser reutilizados y por ello los valorizamos, intentando que las incineradoras emitan la menor cantidad de CO2 a la atmósfera y otros directamente los eliminamos tirándolos al vertedero dañando nuestros ecosistemas. Pero antes de llegar a estos dos últimos procesos debemos pensar cómo no generar tantos residuos.
Reducir y reutilizar son dos palabras que en los últimos años están de moda. Y es que si queremos dejar un mundo sostenible a las generaciones futuras debemos concienciarnos y tomar hábitos para fomentar un estilo de vida más respetuoso con el planeta. Primero reduciendo, pensando en cada acto de consumo si lo que vamos a consumir lo necesitamos en realidad y segundo reutilizando, mirando si disponemos ya de otro bien o servicio con el que podamos dar respuesta a nuestras necesidades.
Mediante estos dos primeros pasos incentivamos a la economía a que tome medidas hacia un cambio más sostenible, la sensibilizamos y nos aportará beneficio tanto económico como de bienestar, al vivir en un mundo cada día más acorde con los problemas que hemos generado.
La crisis energética deriva en la crisis de la logística y del transporte, y ésta a su vez en la crisis de los suministros. Miremos en las basuras que generamos. En nuestras propias bolsas de basura hay infinidad de recursos que sólo acabarán valorizándose o eliminándose como si fueran residuos no reutilizables. En cada pequeño gesto, cada vez que separamos nuestra basura en los diferentes contenedores hacemos un mundo mejor para con todos. Cada vez que reutilizamos bienes o servicios y cada vez que decidimos no comprar algo que ya tenemos, le damos una nueva oportunidad a este planeta. Cada vez que convencemos a alguien de que un mundo mejor es posible, cada vez nuestra casa, nuestro mundo, sangra un poco menos.
Si has llegado a leer hasta aquí, espero haberte convencido un poco más de que entre todos, tanto personas individuales como empresas, como instituciones y organizaciones no gubernamentales, podemos hacer de este mundo un poco más habitable.
Desde este blog quiero poder descifraros como se gestiona el tema de los residuos y otros recursos, así como entre todos generar ideas para que de los errores que cometemos todos podamos aprender de ellos y subsanarlos. Para que el ciclo de la vida continue en paz y armonía aún a pesar del enorme daño que como especie causamos tanto a nuestro planeta como al resto de nuestra galaxia.
If we consider that resources, once used, become waste and that the best way not to harm the environment is not to get rid of them but to reuse them, we promote the idea of circular economy, which according to the concept of environmental sustainable economy; this circle has a direct impact on society.
It is true that much of the waste generated by the economy, it is unknown, today, how they can be reused and therefore we value them, trying to incinerators emit the least amount of CO2 into the atmosphere and others directly eliminate them by throwing them into the landfill damaging our ecosystems. But before reaching these last two processes we must think about how not to generate so much waste.
Reduce and reuse are two words that have become fashionable in recent years. If we want to leave a sustainable world to future generations, we must become aware and adopt habits to promote a more respectful lifestyle with the planet. First reducing, thinking in each act of consumption if what we are going to consume we really need and second reusing, looking if we already have another good or service with which we can respond to our needs.
By means of these first two steps we encourage the economy to take measures towards a more sustainable change, we raise its awareness and it will bring us both economic and welfare benefits, as we live in a world that is increasingly more in line with the problems we have generated.
The energy crisis leads to a logistics and transportation crisis, and this in turn leads to a supply crisis. Let's look at the waste we generate. In our own garbage bags there are countless resources that will only end up being valorized or disposed of as non-reusable waste. In every small gesture, every time we separate our garbage in the different containers, we make a better world for everyone. Every time we reuse goods or services and every time we decide not to buy something we already have, we give this planet a new chance. Every time we convince someone that a better world is possible, every time our home, our world, bleeds a little less.
If you have read this far, I hope I have convinced you a little more that between all of us, individuals, companies, institutions and non-governmental organizations, we can make this world a little more livable.
From this blog I want to be able to decipher how the issue of waste and other resources is managed, as well as generate ideas so that from the mistakes we all make we can learn from them and correct them. So that the cycle of life continues in peace and harmony despite the enormous damage that we as a species cause to our planet and the rest of our galaxy.
Sí, alrededor de nuestro planeta también circula mucha basura. ¿Cómo recuperar y gestionar estos residuos? Palabras mayores que se me escapan de las manos. Espero que nuestros gobiernos puedan hacer algo al respecto.
Yes, there is a lot of garbage circulating around our planet, but how to recover and manage this waste? Big words that escape me. I hope our governments can do something about it.
