The Ocean, Drowning (2023) is one of my latest gel- and ballpoint pen drawings. It was specifically created as part of a group exhibition taking place next month in September. The theme of the exhibition is Under the Sea. It is already framed and ready for display.
It’s a relatively small drawing on A3 paper, but there is a lot of detail that went into it. Sea shells, fish, and a sea turtle are all part of a collage-type setting in this picture. The theme of the drawing is pollution, with a focus on oil spills at sea. Hopefully, this artwork raises awareness of our carelessness.
Here is the framed drawing:
Wow, that sounds like a powerful piece! I love how you’re using your art to tackle such an important issue like pollution. The details you’ve included—sea shells, fish, and a turtle—must really bring the scene to life, especially with the collage style. I can imagine it sparking conversations at the exhibition. It’s great that you’re raising awareness through your creativity. Best of luck with the show; I hope it resonates with a lot of people! level devil
