How to Make Glutinous Chocolate Layer Cake

So, on this Tuesday I will share a recipe that is quite unique and has a very delicious layer, this sticky chocolate layer cake has spread all over Indonesia as a very tasty snack to try, using glutinous rice and cocoa powder, making this food quite popular. To make this food, all you have to buy and prepare is glutinous rice, si gkong which you grate and squeeze until there is no cassava water left, then coconut milk, cocoa powder, food coloring as you wish, salt, sugar, 1 egg , rice flour and wheat flour. After you have prepared all the ingredients, now let's start the first stage of making sticky chocolate layer cake.

The first step, what you have to do first is prepare a frying pan, pour 300 ml of coconut milk into the pan and put all the glutinous rice that you have prepared. Then cook the glutinous rice until the coconut milk shrinks away using medium heat. Then stir continuously for faster cooking.

The second step, after you have cooked the glutinous rice until there is no coconut milk left, now prepare a steamer and steam the glutinous rice for about 20 minutes. Add 1 pandan leaf so that the glutinous rice is more fragrant and perfect.

The third step, while the glutinous rice is steamed for about 20 minutes, now we will prepare the second layer of dough for this dish. First prepare a place and pour 150 grams of sugar or the equivalent of 7 tablespoons, then 1 grain, 20 grams of wheat flour, half a tablespoon of salt and 100 grams of rice flour. Then stir continuously until all ingredients are evenly mixed.

The fourth step, after you have stirred continuously until evenly distributed, now add 350ml of coconut milk gradually while stirring continuously until the coconut milk is evenly mixed.

The fifth step, after the coconut milk has been stirred until evenly mixed, now divide it into 2 doughs like the photo above, then the dough is given food coloring according to your wishes and the other dough is given 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Then stir the two mixtures until both dough changes color.

The sixth step, after you have finished the second and third layer of dough, now all you have to do is prepare 1 baking sheet and a base with banana leaves so you can easily lift the dough when it is finished steaming. Then put all the glutinous rice into the pan and compact it thoroughly using a spatula or spoon.

The seventh step, after you have prepared the first layer, namely glutinous rice, now prepare the steamer and place the pan in the steamer. Steam the first layer for about 10 minutes using medium heat.

The eighth step, after the first layer has been steamed for 10 minutes, then open it and pour the second yellow layer while filtering it into the pan. After that, steam it again for about 5 minutes.

The ninth step, after the second layer has been steamed for 5 minutes, then the last layer is pouring the chocolate layer into the pan. Then steam longer than the previous layer for about 25 minutes and still using medium heat.

The last step, after the last layer has been steamed for 25 minutes, remove the baking sheet and cool it for about 10 minutes so that it is easy for you to cut the chocolate sticky rice layer cake. After that, cut it using a knife that has been coated with plastic so that the cake does not stick to the knife.

Finally, the chocolate sticky rice layer cake is finished and can be eaten with your family or friends. It tastes very good between the combination of chocolate and glutinous rice, I really like old cakes like this, the taste is really very unique and you must try it. What do you think ?
