Oh my gosh! This is something that has been an internal struggle with me (at least with regard to Hive) for some time now. I feel to my bone this platform needs more engagement, more consumers, and more curation. However, the content creators seem to be the ones who are expected to do it.
We are busy creating content!
Yes, I take time to read and comment on other content around Hive, but usually only those I follow. I don't have enough time in the day to search out content from people I don't know. Unless the content is reblogged or recommended by someone I follow, I will typically not curate.
It may sound sucky, but it's just a fact that I have a job, a business, and family. Hive currently doesn't pay me enough to ignore the first two, and doesn't;t give me sex or love like the third. Priorities.
Love you put this out there. I believe in engagement, but this continuous pressure on creators to curate is ridiculous. We need more consumers. Thank you so much.
This is a valid point. I don't think we should have that pressure, however take responsibility for creating content to engage readers. Manage SEO better and use strategies to get people to comment on our posts. Because we can't spend all our time on HIVE.
Absolutely Daniel. Thank you again.
By the way, SEO is something that I am sorely lacking at. Other than that, I working at the rest.
Like most of us here, although there are some publications that help, such as the guides that @sidwrites made, I think there were 5, I leave you the first one
